The NRBQ version of the song RC Cola & a Moon Pie is such a blast.

We can pick up Moonpies about anywhere here in the mid-Ohio Valley, but only chocolate, vanilla, & banana, &, occasionally, chocolate/peanut butter. When we go down south , we can also get lemon & strawberry Moonpies, as well. While living in the Mobile Alabama area, I discovered that mini Moonpies are a staple of the local Mardi Gras parades. They're thrown to the crowds just like beads & candy.

As a foreigner I was not aware of the relationship between these 2 items, however I can relate, since we have a combination which is very popular among construction workers. Fanta & Gansito. The former needs no introduction, but the latter is a small chocolate cake filled with cream and strawberry jelly. A cheap and quick fix for hipoglucemy after a hefty day's work. Awesome video, very interesting. Keep up the good work

Moon Pies can be found on the West Coast usually in bulk stores like Smart and Final. Unfortunately RC Cola, especially the diet kind is a bit harder to find!
