Fun Fact: Lemmy has said before that he identifys better with bands like the Ramones than bands like Metallica or Black Sabbath, and that Motorhead isn't heavy metal it's just "loud rock n' roll" .
@robsgirl64656 жыл бұрын
Daniel Fuentes : So true. I'm trying to put an experimental project together. Two basses and a drummer. One bass will be 4-string and play traditional DeeDee Ramone style bass lines (fast and heavy all down strokes) while the second bass will be 12-string and played like Lemmy. Think Motorhead meets the Ramones! No fancy lead solo work. Just loud, fast, and ultra-heavy rock-n-roll. Sadly, no one seems interested in joining such an endeavor.

Yep. I believe the quote was "personal comfort, that's all. It's also one way of avoiding seeing the audience. In the days when we only had ten people and a dog, it was a way of avoiding seeing that we only had ten people and a dog". Another bit of trivia: Lemmy is/was known to drink a bottle of Jack Daniels each day, every day for the past 35 years!

No! He was not kicked out of Hawkwind for having a "serious drug habit"! He was kicked out because he was doing doing DIFFERENT DRUGS to the rest of the band (Lemmy & Dick Mick were into speed and LSD) as Hawkwind were into organic drugs. In the words of Lemmy, he was kicked out due to classic 70's drug snobbery.

I know that it's not a big part of their history, but as a WWE fan, Motorhead sang the theme songs for HHH( Paul Levesque). "Bow down to the king" and " Time to play the game", the latter still being used as HHH theme song. Just thought that I should add that fact. Thank you.

That will teach me to walk down the road. Found out later they were looking for me to go with them. Muscles come in handy, and i was out looking for trouble anyway.... True pioneers and forefathers of the punk era. Trivia fact not included by @WatchMojo, Lemmy positions the mic at an extreme downward angle for two reasons. He has been quoted that is is more "comfortable" on his vocal chords because of his singing style and allows him to avoid looking at the audience. Rumor is that it started when they were only playing for a few people, and he didn't want to be reminded of that fact as they were playing.

One thing that you could have added was about Robertson, how he refused to play bands classics on tour and his mental health was unbalanced, and was _kicked_ out of the band. Because of the "bad" tours with Robbo and unsuccess of "Another perfect day" the bands fanbase was really, really low in 1984. But the mega success of "Killed by Death"- single really saved motörhead. Otherwise, key things covered, good video! =D Next Saxon please? ^_^
