out of topic but was i the only person who tought the myscene cast was supposed to be older? because they went to clubs, made big parties, travel very far away and even had job offers as a child i tought they were at least in their 20s. Until the sweet 16 party was brought out and i freaked out to find out they were supposed to he teenagers.

I was 9 or 10 when the Jammin in Jamaica dolls came out, and I had Maddison, who became one of my favourite childhood toys. I finally brought her again this year as a 29 year old - a wave of nostalgia hit me and I was so happy to finally have something that meant so much to me as a child again. I now have a collection of over 10 dolls, dating back to the 90's.

It really is indicative of the time when the reboot meant the dolls became more fierce. As opposed to recently where reboots saw the dolls and characters get softer more 'kid friendly' looks.

First of all I have to say that you did a great job so far. With all respect, I was concerned at first because I know that My Scene is such a large topic to cover and there is so much more to it than one would think. But you did great. I must say I LOVE the way you have structured the videos so far. I'm a MASSIVE My Scene STAN and have been since my childhood:) Can't wait for part 3(and possibly part 4)!

Thank you!! This series was definitely a huge undertaking, especially with all of the media content to cover. I'm surprised that I got this video under 18 minutes, given how eventful 2004-2005 was for the brand😂

Great video as usual! The movies were obviously a big part of my childhood and they hold a special place in my heart ❤️ It’s crazy how fast the boys were being phased out of the line as it went on. Not to mention, the whole legal battle with MGA was a lot to take in. Can’t wait for Part 3! 😍

Thanks!! I completely agree about the movies - rewatching them while researching for this video was very comforting. My Scene was certainly notorious for phasing out characters, although the unique characters and their relationships were one of the factors (imo) that really helped the brand stand out.

Not sure if you read suggestions here, but I would love a video on the history of Pullip. I've been a Pullip fan and collector since 2005 and I feel a lot of her history has been lost as more people have gotten into them in only the years since they started doing more collabs (ie: the Sailor Moon dolls), plus they're just a little more obscure in the western world.

Hello there! I just wanted to say I totally love your videos! They're so full of information and good-quality footage and I find it really amazing how you treat your every content with respect and professionalism! Being a huge doll fan myself, I think I just found the perfect channel for me to watch doll-related content! As for the My Scene dolls, I got to admit they are my favorite doll line and those two parts of the history video you made were just awesome to watch! Thank you so much! Keep doing a wonderful job! Love from Greece! Oh! And a small suggestion for a future video! Here in Greece, we used to have our own Barbie doll counterpart called Bibi-Bo. I don't know very much about her myself, however I do know she was quite popular in the '80s and she had a boyfriend called John John. The company that produced her was called El Greco. It would be really nice if you made a video about her!

In hindsight, it's unsettling that the Goes Hollywood movie (primarily aimed at young girls) was produced by such a person. Sadly, that's what really happens the entertainment industry - though fortunately he got caught - and not the peachy-keen stuff depicted in the movie.

The first season of mini episodes of my scene exclusive to Latin America that came in the cereal packages did arrive in Spain and was translated into Spanish and had a menu where you could listen to it in English or Portuguese, see Hot Wheels and an advertisement of their next movie of My Scene Goes Hollywood, but the second season did not arrive in Spain and was exclusivily produced to Latin America.

Thanks for the clarification!
@Manu_crafts2 жыл бұрын
@@HaveYouHeardDolls Don't worry, you did an amazing research, here in Spain We had ads and unique My Scene merchandising like in Latin America, handbags, blouses and fragrances with Barbie, Chelsea and Westley (Madison), but Delancey was not as common to see in the stores as Nolee which was also very popular. The trend and attention to My Scene began to fade after the second reboot with the new art style, and Barbie regained her fame during 2009 with the fashionistas and the 50th anniversary. ✨💓

As a kid I absolutely adored My Scene. I found it fun, bold and overall cool. In comparison Bratz we’re just a bit too much and ridiculous. Not to mention the shoes situation. It’s just so strange to me that My Scene received so little love and attention from doll collectors community. If I would ever start collecting dolls it would definitely be My Scene.

Hi there I have a question I’m hoping you can help me answer. I wanna talk about the Lindsay Lohan doll in specific. When she was creating with the Doll, what did she have total control over? Is there a reason why her Doll looked the way it did.? Did they create her a new mold?
@HaveYouHeardDolls2 жыл бұрын
The Lindsay Lohan sculpt was used exclusively for her. I know with the Mary-Kate and Ashley dolls, they mentioned that they (more so their management) had some creative input on their face sculpts and clothes early on. Considering how busy Lindsay was at the time, I wouldn't be surprised if her management just gave her likeness and told Mattel to handle the rest. That too, they needed to make the doll aesthetically fit in with the other My Scene girls.

@Cuteyhoney572 жыл бұрын
Frankly in this era (the beginnings of the 2000s) it was the only sorts of these sexies dolls I accepted. Bratz or Flavas was the summum of the vulgar for me! I was only 20 in 2000 and I was horrified when the Bratz appeared and worse when Flavas came!!! It was for me Ghetto Barbies, or in France we name these dolls « Cassos Barbie » who mean Cas sociale Barbie aka Slut Barbie or Very uneducated Barbie, Poor Barbie it was quite offended for many people, but parents bought them because of the supplication of the children, Bratz were everywhere, and the commercials was very agressive. MyScene was more glamorous and less vulgar. BUT it was just for answer the asking and stay in the game because of the Bratz!!! What the 2000s was a bizarre era for toys !! Glad when I became a mom in 2009, that Bratz disappeared and Barbie Fashionistas became popular! Mattel found a good way to match glamorous, sexy BUT not Vulgar dolls! Even Monster High was more acceptable because of the Fantasy/monster’s world.
