Routes Rolled out in a absolutely DANGEROUS way. In my area, the route ran thru a industrial site, and thru, YES THRU a lake. And wasn't completeable for over a year.

The biggest annoyance with the Zygarde is how often the cells don’t appear on routes. I do routes every day, if they show up 1 cell in every 5 routes, I’d be amazed. I’ve amassed 104 cells so far - no idea how many routes that represents. What’s worse is I’m pouring them into a crappy 2* Zygarde that you can’t even luck trade to get it up to snuff.

Don't think I have ever tried not getting one on the 3 routes I do almost daily. And if I do 5, I can't recall not getting all three. I have a complete form and 250 cells.

At this point, the system would be totally fine if you just got 1 cell guaranteed for your first route of the day. And we need ways to improve or reroll IVs, but that's a separate issue.

problem is they changed from very hard to the very weak one now. I liked taking out hard gyms those days. I had no macho at all, so I used Gyarados with the fast charging bite and hydrocannon. lucky to geht those moves as there had been not TMs ;)

My problem is how much of a grind it is; you can only earn 3 cells a day and more then half the time you do a route you don’t even get a cell. Sure if you’ve got plenty of routes around you cool but it’s still going to take a minimum of 100 days and that’s if you’re doing it at max effectiveness. I’ve *completed* 83 routes and I have 42 cells to show for it

The pride once you complete it is a wonderful feeling. The more difficult or rare, the more rewarding imo. Kinda like getting a shundo. I only have 4 and each one was a natural high 🥰

Slaking does still work in gyms as a "timewaster" If I see it and a Blissey in a gym I can't be bothered sitting there trying to fight through them

Oddly enough doing routes to power up my 98 zygarde was the main thing getting me outside to exercise and play pokemon go everyday. Without that, I don’t think I would be as committed to the route grind as I am.

@@S__...M__..37 Sounds like you should create more routes. I created routes in my area to speed up the amount I could get daily. I got full form Zygarde in about 4 months and now I have 160 extra cells saved up for if they ever allow you to catch multiples. He's been incredibly handy in pvp since I'm free to play. Well worth the grind IMO.

Why don't you do routes. I love to get the XP, stardust, and sometimes rare candy and rare XL candy. I also change buddy for each route to get more buddy hearts.​@@atomic_hok

So Zygarde.... I live 3 to 4 miles away from work. I call that... a walkable distance XD I made 4 routes going back to back with each other along the way. I now have my Complete form Lv. 50 Zygarge and a spare 250 cells in case they release another when Legends ZA comes out. Getting the Platinum Navigator badge was a given through all that

The Blissey annoyance actually went beyond the gyms since before 2018, iirc, Blisseies had high enough stat total despite 95% of those only HP that they show up very frequently in raid recommendations. It was an absolute pain in the ass back then to manually get rid of the useless bricks off the raid roaster and still led to countless frustrating Lugia raids because some dickheads around you refuse to do the same. Niantic had to patch the game to force Blissey off the raid recommendations to solve that

The Slakoth community day was for Vigoroth more than it was for Slaking. Unlike Slaking, Vigoroth has almost always been very good in PvP, and was absolute top meta for various seasons. So Slaking might be a hated mon but the Slakoth community day was a good thing, to make a strong PvP mon available to more players.

I recall reading debates online about how the Kaldeo ticket was comparable to the Mr. Crime ticket and trainers refused to buy it because they felt Niantic was just going to publicly release Kaldeo in future events. Then Niantic doubled down and never released Kaldeo again, so I guess you get what you deserve for complaining. Another one I really despised was Noibat in 7km eggs during the 2022 Halloween event and then 3 months later had a community day.

Slaking is useful in Rocket battles...my Hundo is a nice counter with combo of Dragonite and the special move does significant damage, and refills so quickly, it surprises the opponent.

I think you can add the Galarian Birds to this; hard to find, hard to catch and if you do get one, odds are they don't have good IVs At least Niantic made the shinies not able to run away; that's something.

Currently trying to evolve both Zygarde and Gimmieghoul. Zygarde feels manageable as I know what to expect even if its tedious, thiugh I’ll likely change my mind when I get to its 100% form. Gimmieghoul is really frustrating though as the coins are a random change and you need 999 of then, so 4 times more than to fully evolve Zygarde.

Well actually Slaking isn't THAT bad. It's a great gym defender and a fun spice pick in Master League Classic. Mine is a 15/15/15 5010 CP with two charge moves and NOBODY expects to see it or build their team to face it. No fast move pressure but two different nuke charge moves and I've actually won quite a few games with it. Routes are the worst. It should have been 25 cells to 50% and 100 to complete forme. 250 is ridiculous, im only at 62 and have done like 150 routes. It's broken.
