MY BROTHER, YOU DID A VERY GOOD JOB ON THE 66 SHELBY GT350 HISTORY!...I AM A OLD SCHOOL FORD GUY FROM THE 60'S, MY FIRST MUSTANG WAS A 66 FORD MUSTANG COUPE 289-V8 WITH A C4 3SP AUTO TRANS!...IT WAS A VINTAGE BURGUNDY EXTERIOR WITH BLACK INTERIOR AND BUCKET SEATS WITH CENTER CONSOLE! WHILE BACK IN MY HIGH SCHOOL DAYS, I REPAINTED MY MUSTANG A ROYAL BLUE METALIC COLOR EXTERIOR WITH SHELBY GT350 WHITE SIDE STRIPS!...WHEN ALL WAS SAID AND DONE, I FIXED IT UP LIKE A 66 SHELBY GT350 COUPE VERSION!...I AM JUST SAYING!...GOD BLESS AMERICA! 😇

Another well done video. Very detail oriented. I consider myself kind of an expert on Mustangs but I always learn something from your videos. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this video man, I saw a black/gold G.T.350H at a local car show last weekend, what a beauty! Very cool to learn how it came to life.

1:47 - "The facility in Venus was the place to be....or not the place to be; depending on how you looked at things". Why wouldn't it have been the place to be? Crime? I enjoyed the history lesson.

Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video! As far as for what I said; looking back to 1966 from 2022, most of us would probably say that we would have given a kidney to work there. But back in 1966, coming off of the '65 model year run, it may have been pretty chaotic--some folks hate that, but some thrive in it. Some of those workers could have looked at the '66 model year coming in and thought "not again!". There's that quote: "Familiarity breeds contempt." Back in the late '80s, I worked for NOS. A great place to work. Fun, easy atmosphere at times, but there were times when I hated that place. That's because I knew what was going on behind the scenes. Nothing scandalous, but just regular day-to-day stuff gets tedious. Too many meetings, poor decision making, lots of work and not enough pay...the list goes on. Those things can make a fun job not so fun anymore. So, I was simply drawing from my experience and projecting it onto Shelby American. I could have been completely wrong, since times were different back in 1966.

I think it was around 88-89.90, there was a 66 GT350 for sale at one of the local Ricky dink muscle car dealers nothing fancy just a small lot, the cars were behind a big fence but you could see them from the road the car looked really good it was straight and all in primer and a true GT350 and they were asking 23k for it, but a kid in high school that was a whole lot of money especially back then. I always wanted one but no matter how much money I made they were just out of my price range. But to think I could have bought a real Shelby GT350 for 23 Grand is just crazy. But I do currently own a very low mile 2014 Shelby GT500 SVT performance pack car. But I still can't afford that 66 GT350 LOL.

Great video. Very informative. Are you going to do this for the 1967 and 68 Shelby. Also could you do a video on the BOSS mustang. Thank you. Keep up the good work. 😎

Thanks Matt! I’m currently working on the 1967 Shelby video. It’s been going a little slow since I’ve been working from home. I like that BOSS idea!
