There was one service that did manage 140mph for sections between Grantham and Peterborough. The Yorkshire Pullman. Leeds to Kings X in 1 hour 15 minutes. Only did it for a year. Non stop Leeds to Kings X. Also they were originally designed for a 6° tilt for route above York. Disabled when Mallard update

Well I did go to Leeds to go to London to get on one fore what is probably the very last time and this was to then go to crew to sea 91120 and …89 001 yep that’s the 89🎉

Neville hill depot is 5 minutes away from me by foot in leeds and I've only twice see them move it's clear they're on the way out

Leeds was the home of a lot of the big industrial engine builders (Hunslet and Peckett, for example), and some of the sites have been converted into museums. Other than that, you can just leave again. It’s Leeds.
