I always give Paciencia to Raul, even if he's more efficient with revolvers. It just feels right for me to give him something to remind him of his homeland.

@@ZrodyApo am i the only one who has trouble hitting shots with pacencia? it seems like it just doesn’t have the range that scoped rifles do even if the shot is dead accurate

The Fallout New Vegas version of the Hunting Rifle will always be my favorite. It has a powerful ammo type, great mods, Jury Rigging allows for easy repairs with Varmit Rifles, and it's overall a solid weapon. Plus it has my favorite design that I was first introduced to back in Fallout 3.

I remember in my Fallout 4 playthrough whenever I picked up a new legendary hunting rifle I’d rename it to Reba III and so forth. My beloved two-shot Reba VI

Spoiler for weapon locations in FO 1 and FONV below. FO1- In addition to the Hunting Rifle in Vault 15 there was a random encounter in the blocks around Shady Sands where you could meet a merchant. He didn't sell a Hunting Rifle but some of his guards had them in their inventory but not in their hands and a thief style character could actually pick their pockets and get several. Same trick with the guards at the Hub could get you an Assault Rifle. FONV - In Boulder City (east of the 188 trader post) there's a railyard. On the north side of the locomotive there's a Hunting Rifle laying by the tracks.

You can also tag the Gun Runner guards and they’ll rush opening the locked gate. Take them out and you have 2 hunting rifles and 2 sets of combat armor to repair and use.

I still say the rifle in fallout 4 when you get/modify it to be sawed off is a reference to the obrez made from sawing a mosin nagant rifle down to the grip, chamber, and barrel stub
@shorewallКүн бұрын
It definitely is, but it's still dumb to START with the sawn off version, and then make it longer. :D

The most annoying thing about Reba II was that the ideal time to use it would be during the quest you need to complete to get it.

While my favorite build will always be the Iron Man build(high intelligence, power armor, energy weapons, lots of VATS usage) I do enjoy the Ranger build with bolt action rifles and revolvers a lot.

Small correction . Ammo doesnt weigh anything in fallout 4 except the BIG ammo and fusion cores.

I remember the hunting rifle being quite good early on before getting the sniper rifle I always thought it was odd that it was only 223/556 instead of 308 but I didnt argue with the realism I believe in Tactics it was in fact 308 which made more sense

It always felt like once you got one of these early game, your character was gonna be ok

I have used the hunting rifle in fallout 1 and its good and you can get it pretty early which is cool. In Fallout 3 its decent and good early on and its not hard to get the fact that raiders or super mutants but once you get really good weapons like the Lincoln's Repeater or any other powerful weapons that's when I stop using it. In New Vegas I would say it's more powerful then 3's hunting rifle probably because it uses 308 ammo but in three it uses 32 cal which makes it why in new vegas its more good. And in 4 you can customize it to have different ammo or make it to a sniper rifle which I prefer 3 and new vegas's sniper rifle

I miss how common the hunting rifle and its ammo were in fallout 3 In new vegas, good luck finding .308 ammo, let alone a SECOND hunting rifle to repair it with

You might have been playing new Vegas wrong. I mean no insult, but jury rigging and caps are never a problem in the game.

The more I play Fo3 to new Vegas to Fo4 the more I miss new Vegas. I love Fo3 but then I see so much junk in universe that you can’t use. The perks, weapon variety(actual weapons not 5 guns you can cut the stock off of Fo4), useful junk, and the survival trait always makes new Vegas the best for me. Feels like you’re in the universe. Nowadays I just use fallout 4 for modding base defense against a zombie apocalypse.

Fallout 4 is probably the easiest to get started with, and it's pretty easy to mod if you want to.
