My question is, what kept them from getting flats on the board tracks? Not to mention splinters when they crashed. Too dangerous for me. No thank you. Lol.

@@robertengland8769 flats were a major issue, but less from punctures and more from the tires slipping of the rim or blowing apart at speed. Splinters during crashes would happen, there was even a guy named slivers as a result, but the easiest solution was to just not crash ;)
