The Santa Ana zoo, through fun, adventure, and learning, empowers the community to save wildlife and wild spaces. The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park has been known as "a jewel of Orange County" since its opening in 1952. Today, this small zoo is an oasis in the city where families can play, learn, and spend time connecting with nature together. We went here maybe once or twice in the late 60's and we got to ride the elephant around. There was a small train like the one that used to go around the lake at Knott's also.

I just signed up to volunteer at the santa ana zoo, ive gone to this zoo since I was a child and live right on the corner.
