The History of the Silk Road

This video describes the history of the Silk Road. More specifically it discusses the origins of the road network, the goods traded along it, the dangers of the Silk Road, the cities of the Silk Road and the ancient civilizations along the Silk Road. This covers mostly the ancient history of the Silk Road and does not cover Marco Polo or the medieval history of the road network. This is a good review for a test, a good introduction to the history of the Silk Road or just for general knowledge.
