@@TootieFruutie - Agreed. I've watched every season of BBUS (expect season 1). I started watching BB about 17 years ago and instantly got hooked. I actually think BBCan is the better show. They have better casts, comps, twists and a FAR SUPERIOR HOUSE. Seriously, the BBCan house just blows the BBUS house away. Much better layout, more secret rooms, and great theming every season. BBCan's house theming puts BBUS to shame. I can't believe BBUS hasn't upgraded and/or updated the house since BBUS 6. I was such a huge fan of BBUS for 15+ years and never thought BBCan would come close to living up to BBUS, but it's clearly the superior show.

@@TootieFruutie I have mixed feelings on some of the twists they include but I also think BbUS needs to adapt several mainstays from that season like the triple eviction or the secret POV, they have shown they are very good at keeping things fresh and interesting even in their weaker seasons!

@@Kevin-bt4wb it certainly helps that they have not been plagued by so much controversy like BB US has, and even the weaker seasons are still worth watching. Heck, Season 10 had some of the most understandably frustrated houseguests in BBCan’s run, and yet not only was the cast still excellent, but they still managed to be pretty content crowning Kevin the winner! That speaks volumes about the show’s quality if you ask me!

As memorable as Austin’s blindside was, Johnny was actually better off voting out Steve. By keeping the showmance intact, he would have forced Vanessa to go after them, allowing him to go the Final 3, possibly even if Austin won that quiz HOH.

I think that’s a valid argument but we will never truly know for sure. The thing is, if Steve went home I think if Johnny Mac had won that final 4 HOH, Vanessa still wins the POV and evicts Austin at 4, but I think Vanessa would still align with Liz and take out Johnny Mac if she won that final HOH. The thing is, Johnny Mac only makes it to the final 2 if he wins that final HOH in either scenario, and while he definitely could have, I think he still ends up on a position where he is vulnerable to Vanessa evicting him and where he has no one that would take him to final 2. At least in the outcome we had, John would have been in the best spot had he just won that final veto, so I don’t think anyone can definitively say his run would have gone better letting Steve be evicted! That being said, Vanessa’s move was brilliant because she already planned to use the blindside to win over Liz and Johnny Mac, and to make sure she had at least one person who would take her to final 2, so props to her for knowing that move was best for her game!

YESSSS!!!! I LOVE TIE VOTES!! This video has already sailed into my top five favorite videos you have ever made. As always, here's a question for thought: pick your 3 favorite tie breaking vote casted, one from the final nine, one from the final seven, and one from the final five. I Personally would go with the Crazy James tiebreaker (quick and ruthless), the Christmas tiebreaker (such an amazing exit), and the Marcellus tiebreaker (iconic and brutal)

Oooh good question! My favorite final 9 one is also definitely James evicting Matty, the way the week played out and it ending with James single-handedly evicting him makes it all the more better. My favorite final 7 one is GinaMarie evicting Amanda, the way the vote kept flipping throughout the week with Elissa coming on board and then Andy in turn needing to flip his vote in order to get Amanda out, and GinaMarie saying get to steppin is pretty top notch. My favorite final 5 is definitely Jason evicting Marcellas because everything about it was expertly said, reactions were all on point, and it's one of the most iconic moments in the entire show

@@TonyDanza4Lyfe I think if it was Vanessa vs Steve it would have been a very close vote, the twins and Austin were always playing with Vanessa so they didn't have very many big game moves imo so I feel like jmac, Steve,and Vanessa would always beat out Liz and Austin. Everyone like jmac, he was the perfect balance between playing the game, being friendly with everyone, and being super entertaining. Steve had a quiet strategy that I didn't even notice on my first watch through, I think Steve wins no matter who he's up against though Vanessa would be his strongest opposition. Liz would win over Austin. Austin was never going to win.

In my opinion, what I think really caused Vanessa to start losing some control of the game in BB17 was when James won the veto in the final 8B. By saving himself, Vanessa had nothing better than to waste her HOH on a vulnerable and defenseless Meg, and then use the subsequent double eviction to take care of James. Had she succeeded in sending James home on her HOH, she enters the double eviction with more options. She can maybe use that DE to get out someone like John, or she try to pull in Meg with John and Steve and start undermining the Austwins then. I feel that Meg and James's eviction week is what really caused Vanessa to start overplaying, and it put her in a position where she had to HOPE that Steve wasn't as clever as he was.

What I find interesting is that from what I can recall in every eviction with three nominees on the regular version of BB U.S., the vote has never been split across all three nominees (especially compared to Survivor, which has seen its fair share of three-way votes). Why do you think the vote never ends up being split across all three nominees and ends up being a two-way vote anyway? (Part of me wants to see someone throw a random vote to the third nominee just to cause a little chaos and possibly force a tie.)

I was in an online forum competition with 100 people to start and while most of it had a Survivor-based format, it switched to a Big Brother format at the final 16. I had to break 2 ties as the equivalent of HoH, first at final 9 then again at final 5, plus I won veto at final 4 and HoH at final 3, so ultimately I had to tiebreak or sole-evict 4 jurors. I was able to get 2 of their votes in the end (won 6-5, jury began at final 13). That was a hell of an experience. The player I voted out at F9 had expressed a desire to target my closest ally, so he had to go, and the one I voted out at F5 was a bit of a rival for me and had been the main ally of my main ally before I was and flipped on him. He and I ended up co-hosting the next "season" of the competition on the same forum.
