Great review , certainly an asset for life on the canals, you definitely are allowed to ride unmodified uk legal ebikes on tow path.

great vlog Josh, I've always wanted an electric bike but seen signs and have been told that Electric bikes are not allowed on towpaths.
@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboatАй бұрын
@robertknight5435 Hey Robert, I've never seen signs about ebikes as long as you ride them sensibly, slow down passing people and boats, then you should have no problems 😊 Thanks for watching

Incorrect Towpath Code The Canal & River Trust, which manages most canals in England and Wales, allows legal e-bikes on towpaths, but prohibits e-scooters, motorbikes, and modified e-bikes. Suitability The Canal & River Trust's code of conduct also prohibits e-bikes that aren't suitable for the environment. EAPC requirements If an e-bike meets the EAPC requirements, it's considered a normal pedal bike and can be ridden on cycle paths and other places where pedal bikes are allowed. Terrain Some trekking e-bikes can handle canal towpaths, but they might not be suitable for very muddy or wet trails. Cycling etiquette Cyclists should be considerate of pedestrians and slow down for others. They should also take extra care when passing people, pets,

Hi guys, like the bike and almost the same colour as our boat. Good review Josh but didn't catch the cost?
@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboatАй бұрын
Well I can say you have a very nice coloured boat then, I really like the colour. That's because the bike was on offer when I posted this video, it's about £550 to £800 so pretty cheap for a ebike.

Nah then, ey up me ducks. Nermind all those stats Josh, can you unrestrict it, can you get a throttle for it and how easy is it to wheelie? *Lol. Great review me owd, ay a good'un guys 👍🙂
@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboatАй бұрын
@Adventures_with_Sog ha ha 😂 yeah I probably could, but I'd soon get in trouble. a wheelie on that? Nah 🤣 thanks for watching 👍

Sorry but the last thing we need is electric bikes on tow paths.
@TaylorsAboardaNarrowboatАй бұрын
@MsLisa8989 I partly agree with you, but the problem isn't electric bikes it's people riding them. Their restricted to 15.5mph, but people unrestrict them, so they go a lot faster. Also, they don't slow down when passing people and boats.
