I know what you mean. I don't understand why blizzard patched this step so you couldn't get it if someone else solves it then invites you to the dungeon.

@@rampage3337 Well if you are in the dungeon when some1 solves it you can loot it, but as far as i know, you cannot get it afterwards. people used to solve it then leave the chest on the floor then invite other people to loot it. it worked for a few hours after the hunt began, but then people started complaining that it doesn't work anymore. i am not 100% sure though since i never tried

anyway, check the last video in the playlist with the addon that helps you with the puzzle. it takes a while but it makes things really easy

There is an addon which helps you with this.

@@VigorHabitus "Hivemind HoO Puzzle helper". You have to fill in what the pattern is and then it tells you what pylon to use and how many times to use it. It doesn't tell you the orientation though, but it is orientated to North.
