Saw them live in the space of 10 days. Wolverhampton on March 31st. They were supposed to play Dublin on April 9th but it was postponed so they played a small gig in Sheffield to 800 people at the Leadmill. Show announced on Sunday, sold out in 2 minutes on Monday, lucky enough to be there on the Tuesday. Both shows were incredible

Veni Vidi Vicious was the first album I ever bought with my own money. Got a job cleaning out garages after people moved for the local apartment complex. I was 13 but felt 25 buying a cool CD with my adult job monies. They have such an electrifying energy, I still listen to that album regularly.

Both Bogus Operandi and Come On! Are great opening songs but there’s something the 3 X guitar notes That’s Get me. It’s so powerfull start you get sucked into the song.

You guys’ best album ever imo. It’s like you took your signature sound and meshed it with a bunch of different genres of rock. Love the punk-rockabilly vibes on several songs, the Clash-style early punk mixed with surf punk feel of Smoke & Mirrors, the arcade music on Two Kinds of Trouble, and the crossover into 90s-era heavy metal on this song. All while still sounding perfectly cohesive and perfectly Hives. So creative and so good. I hope you guys release more albums in the future that are at least this kickass.
