There is something so astounding about this style. It's a visual feast. Especially for us older folks, it is reminiscent of a feeling of childhood in the fifties and sixties that maybe today's kids might not pick up on, but my gosh, is it special!

I was born in 96, i feel the same, it's just such a perfect aesthetic for fantasy, like a waking dream, a bit campy and whimsical just like fantasy is, heavily emphasized themes and aesthetics and the nostalgia just cranks it all up to 11. The technical imperfection of these shows back then also lended well to a world where you are not supposed to know everything. Just like the image doesn't display every atom in High Definition so too were the fantasy world were mysterious in nature, the magic of these worlds wasn't distilled like a science it was instead obscure

I was born on 76 this feels natural to me. And wish this was how they had made the movie it would have been so much better. But I guess this way of making movies is forever lost, technology is killing the movie industry. And everyone is so focused on hyper realism,

Oh, the wonders of style, so grand and neat, A visual feast, such a delightful treat! For us older folks, it's a nostalgic spree, A trip down memory lane, oh so jolly and free! Reminiscent of days in the fifties and sixties past, When life seemed simpler, and memories last. Though today's kids may not catch the vibe, For us, it's a treasure trove, a nostalgic tribe! In this style, we find a magical blend, Of childhood wonders, around every bend. It's special indeed, a time machine of sorts, Taking us back to nostalgic ports! So let's cherish this style, let's hold it dear, For in its embrace, nostalgia's cheer! A visual feast, a trip back in time, Oh, how wonderful, this style sublime!

@@joshuasales1733 I am a devoted movie fan (have my own Brit channel) and love classic films - so I'm not a fan of AI as a new creative force (ie scriptwriting). My comment was about 2 points. One, after the overall success of LOTR, the overstuffed and rushed Hobbit trilogy (eg actor Orcs were vastly more engaging than cgi goblins) was a massive disappointment. Two, I simply liked the "look" of the AI video (it reminded me of the 1950s Journey to the Centre of the Earth. @@zlatko6782 Agree buddy. Most everything else Peter Jackson got perfect in the LoTR but the Hobbits were a great disappointment for me as were the forced visuals perspectives to make them look small which by today's standards stick out like a sore thumb. From an aesthetic perspective the Hobbits looked far too human for my liking (Too good looking) and not "Rural" enough.
@TheNudeBrewer5 ай бұрын
@@james_tiberius_kirk73 Why would they look "rural"? At every turn in the books, they are described to every other human race with the phrase "they would only look like small children to you." Not ODD looking children, or in ANY WAY different. Just that they'd look "small." The only thing PJ got wrong is that most of them were fat. Not the least of which Bilbo. The old Rankin and Bass cartoon has its flaws (every adaptation does), but how they drew Bilbo was accurate.

@@zlatko6782This is sarcasm right? The last sentence made me assume it was sarcasm. But it’s hard to know on the internet.
@james_tiberius_kirk735 ай бұрын
@@TheNudeBrewer By "Rural" I meant folk that live in the country, rough, hardy, hence "rural". I thought the average person would make the correlation. Apparently clear-thinking was not taught in your school. In short, PJ got the casting wrong when it came to the Hobbits. Tolkien, in his own words, "Round, jovial face, ears only slightly pointed and elvish. Further, short, stocky and having hairy feet. And again, "Very short people with curly hair, large ears and large, hairy feet". Ergo their features were *not* fine like Humans. So there's 3 instances that counters your "Small children" narrative, dullard. Have you even read the books?
