A great fantasy classic by J.R.R. Tolkien and the prelude to "The Lord of the Rings," our protagonist Bilbo Baggins is a Hobbit who enjoys a quiet and comfortable life, never traveling any farther than his own kitchen. But his contentment is disturbed when the Wizard Gandalf and a company of Dwarves arrive at his Hobbit home one day to take him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to attack the treasure guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. Bilbo reluctantly joins their quest, not knowing that on his journey to the Lonely Mountain he will encounter both a magic ring and a frightening creature known as Gollum.

Hi, Renato! I plan to have content for ALL levels of students, eventually! I have only been producing content for about a year and a half, but I took a poll (ibop) from the people who watch my channel, and the VAST majority of them, about 80% are beginner students, about 15% are intermediate, and the final 5% advanced. So, for the time being, I will be focusing more on beginner to pre-intermediate level content. If I could make a suggestion, if you plan on watching some of my guided reading, increase the speed to 1.25x while you are listening - that will make it sound a little more natural and make listening comprehension a little more challenging for intermediate-level students. If you have any suggestions, by the way, for more intermediate content, please let me know! - Josh

Hahaha! It does look a little like him. In fact I took the art from the 1977 animated film "The Hobbit" by Rankin/Bass and animated by Topcraft. It was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I have the HUGE illustrated book with all the art from the movie in it. I didn't love the new live actions films (Lord of the Rings was amazing!). I wanted it to look fantastical and a bit old-fashioned. Mip appears to be a caricature of the original Bilbo from the 1977 film. Josh

I admire your enthusiasm Mr. Cookie! But Shakespeare is almost unintelligible in English, even for us native speakers. And the beauty of Shakespeare is in the rhyme and rhythm of the original English, which is almost unintelligible in English today!! Shakespeare is easier to understand in when translated to Portuguese. Doing a reading of Shakespeare would not be the best use of my or your time or energy.
