I’m 11 and I love to hobby horse with my horses I bought off of Amazon and they were only 30$. I have been hobby horsing since I was 6. But now I can run as fast as a car in a neighborhood (about 10 miles per hour) and everyone loves it!

I've done gymnastics and I will say jumping 4ft in the air while holding a stick in between your legs is probably harder than normal and I was a level 7

This sport is called hobby horsing: It's like athletics and gymnastics. You rode a horse head with short stick. There are some disciplines such as: dressage, jumping, western riding etc. If you don't like this sport then just don't no one needs your opinion. Equestrian?! The Most Important part is Missing, the horse! This has nothing to do with knowledge of riding or caring for a horse. Is it human exercise? Yes. Is it human jumping? Yes. But at the end of the day this is just more people playing pretend well beyond the appropriate age. This is a furry cos play event. The human is mimicking being a horse. Honestly they could do all the same movements without the hobby horse. Human dressage and jump. They’d get more respect for that then making up a sport with a CHILD’s TOY! U have to think that many of those attracted to these types of endeavors suffer from some emotional or mental maturity.

Equestrian here….I’d be lying if I said I didn’t occasionally trot over on foot to the horse jump arena and jump all the jumps at a “canter” on foot. 😂🤣😂 #guilty! The horses always look at us funny too. I haven’t met a single equestrian yet who hasn’t done it either. Sometimes one must summon their inner horse energy and not care what others think. The hobby horse thing is different but like I kinda get it at the same time especially if someone can’t afford to ride horses this could be a decent alternative maybe. From my understanding those hobby horse people are actually very athletic. I mean look at that extended trot and that massive jump….your average person can’t do those things. Hell your average horse might not even be able to do that. Lol
