Hi everyone
I’m back in the shed for this video, to unbox the best 1/18 scale platform that was released this year.
It’s got everything you would want on your micro crawler, portal axles, 280 high torque motor, Block rims with soft 60 mm tires, six channel full size transmitter, full light kit, metal gears throughout, ABS hardbody, Servo operated winch, Realistic flatbed with ramps, aluminium anodised chassis rails, etc.
That is what makes this in my opinion the most innovative and fun 1/18 scale Rc release of the year.
So join me unboxing and taking this awesome truck for his first test run and rescue.
Once again, hobby plus and Absima have parted up to bring this awesome RC model to Europe.

Ryan, I have to admit, your excitement for our hobby makes you one of my favorite content creators. The fact that you have not departed into other areas of the hobby endear you and your channel to me all the more! Keep it up!! I have had the Arktos for a few months. I love it, it’s great. I even took it over three miles over landing on a hike in the summer. It made it all the way, no problem. I can’t wait to see what you do to upgrade it. I have only put tires and wheel and a few cosmetic upgrade on it, like front tow shackles. Like you, I felt the blue looked just a little better. Keep on crawling!!

I love the glug glug glug of the drive line when it's slow crawling. It almost makes it sound like a actual diesel engine running in the arktos while it's driving. Mine is supposed to arrive tomorrow, can't wait! I ordered blue also, the black bed just looks better then the gray one on the yellow rig. Hope no delays in shipping. Great video Ryan! At times the microphone picks it up so nicely which makes for some awesome background sound with the music! Almost sounds like a real diesel truck running. By now you already have yours in your hand! I hope it's everything you expected. 😉 In my opinion it was the most innovative and the most fun I had unboxing a small scale crawler last year. Awesome video!! Wow that rig is very impressive! There are a lot of factory features , can't believe they are not sold as optional hop-up parts. Love the rescue mission. It's definitely the coolest 1/18 scale release this year! If you watch the whole video you will see that I went and rescued the unimog and tested over some rough terrain loaded up and it did really well.

those side rails on the flatbed can be mounting points for tow straps

You could definitely use the side rails as a mounting point for tow straps. It's actually a pretty it didn't come with some tow straps 😅

Only problem I’ve been having with mine the very back drive shafts keeps coming apart and have to slide it back in. Don’t know if it’s just too short. I see they got metal ones for it. Also, the axle housings.

I have heard of this quite a bit, so far I haven't had any trouble, but I'm sure with a bit of use it's going to happen to me too. Have you tried their off the market drive shafts? I will have to see if I can order some from here.

@@ferronvandeweg6979I have both and yes, the TRX4M does fit on the bed with the rails down. I need the rails down on my highly modified, slightly wider Defender. It really compresses the back of the Arktos though because the Defender is a hefty 836g!! That kind of weight will kill the battery in short order! 😂
