yes they have Tony lurent and a French man from daycare to Guadeloupe on a hobie 18 about 20 years ago

yes they have. not sure about a 16 but it was done on a H18. in addition the "northwest passage across Canada and Alaska was also done on a h18.

Spaztek12 It's never to "old" unless it is! Sounds dumb, but we have guys in their sixties and seventies racing these boats. If you are physically capable, then do it,

Once upon a time... Now, hydro foiling is better and faster. Ask Hobie to come join the foiling sailors....

Foils is only +15-20 % to speed, but foils is not use on beach . We want the fan on beach, not only on deep water.

And price ! 1000$ for new Hobbie in 1971, 3000€ for used Hobbie now in EU.
