Prom bugging is usually that the high school Principal died at some point between then and the last time you went to active high school. To make sure your Sims don't miss prom, go to active high school on the Friday before. If you forget, you can still spawn a new Principal by visiting the high school with a teen Sim before it's time for prom. No idea why Principal is an NPC role that only fills when you actively go to the lot, but that's the issue.

A tip so you dont have to keep going to active high school every friday is to introduce yourself to the current principal so before prom you can check and see if they died, if they did then you go to the high school and introduce yourself to the new principal

I mentioned this earlier, but I actually read up on the glitch and the pattern is that the first 3 sims in CAS order are the only ones who get the holidays. CAS order is different than live mode order. The sims who get holidays in my game also follow this so it's one parent and two kids but not the other adult.

I gotta say, I love how inclusive and safe Simsie's videos and series makes me feel. There's a lot trait called a teen hangout from High School Years, went and chucked it on a Swimming pool and a bowling alley I went and put in Newcrest. Better than the pier in Copperdale which suffers from just being way too big of a lot. All the fun stuff is on the pier but literally everyone just hangs out in the woods by the toilet.

The prom glitch is annoying, especially since I didn’t originally have any problems with prom when I got the pack. I’ve found that if you travel with your teen sims to the auditorium that the prom event is still happening and you can still do the prom that way. I’m not sure why it doesn’t just send you when you click the pop-up option anymore. It’s annoying to get the pop-up and still have to travel there via their phone just so they can go to prom. If you want places to look busier, you might change the setting in MC Command Center for “number of sims in zone.” I usually change this from 20 to 40-45-50 (I have a really great gaming PC, but I have found that any higher than 50 and the game starts to lag due to trying to spawn sims into the zone). Just be aware it’ll effect every place your sims go to, including their home lot area. So the zone around your house will have more sims walking around and using the amenities in the area. When at community lots, it means a lot more sims will go onto the lot, which some of the lots that come with the world can get pretty crowded very quickly! Also, in San Myshuno which already usually feels pretty busy, it’ll feel even busier. I don’t own For Rent yet so I don’t know if that makes the night shift market area busier, but it’s worked at making Magnolia Promenade’s shopping area feel busier and other areas I travel to with my sims…including the hospital (it gets pretty busy when my sims go there to have a baby). I have a mod that allows for four classrooms, more students (which you can choose who is in each class as well as who the school staff are), etc for High School Years, so I’m not sure how changing the number of sims in the zone effects the high school lot without that mod, but I figure it’s the same as the hospital in that teen sims would spawn and walk around the school at least and adult sims spawned would walk around the outside parts of the world. I know it makes the amusement park on the pier feel busier. So yeah, you can try that to see if that helps make the night market feel busier. Though I do understand your disappointment with that aspect of the world. I had thought it’d be a special lot sims go to and thus made in such a way to feel busier, so I was disappointed to when I saw you and other sims KZbinrs playing and it was just like an outside feature elsewhere in the background of the world. Like I knew it wouldn’t have a lot of stalls, but I figured either it’d be like the City Living festivals or its own lot. I really hope the holiday bug gets fixed soon. I’ve mostly been playing saves that aren’t family gameplay because it’s no fun to play a family (no matter the number of generations) and not get to actively celebrate holidays together. And yeah, I have had that blank holiday box thing happen, too. Which is really frustrating because I think they can celebrate only to see its blank. I mean, I guess it’s good they don’t get a negative moodlet for not celebrating the holiday since its blank, but it makes me realize that the bug could become like that if not fixed. So yeah, I definitely relate to the “it makes me feel like not playing The Sims.” I mean, I do play other games and not just on PC, so I do try to take breaks from games when I get frustrated from bugs and glitches. Maybe it’s because I’m 40 and have been playing video games since I was a kid, but I kinda miss the days when I getting frustrated because of bugs and glitches in video games wasn’t a thing (that was usually reserved for electronic toys….hence why LEGOs were my favorite toys since if there was a glitch in what I built that was on me).

Since I know what I have set up for holidays, i'm dealing with this bug...but..the bug where townies will walk through locked doors is driving me mad. i just had a random townie come into my house, take my grand meal out of my oven and throw it in the trash. They come in and harvest my plants. They halfway cook meals and leave them all over. They break and steal my stuff. I had to delete all doors and stairs and just teleport everywhere. Put my garden in a basement with no access to it to keep them safe. But c'mon EA..this is getting to be unplayable!

I’m honestly too scared to open my game and my non simmer friends told me not to until another update happens. I explained to them everything that is up with the game recently. They were like yeah don’t open it. I am very happy to see an episode of this series. I love it! The holiday glitch sucks though… as do many of the recent issues

Regarding the charging parents for rent... in my own game with a similar situation, I didn't consider it charging them rent. Instead, I looked at it as the parents contributing their part of the utility bills. Semantics? Sure, but it made me feel better. 😉

I think it’s funny that Kayla forgot she had a chicken named Betty in the last legacy and that chicken didn’t die so she put her in her household inventory to prolong her life even more and she said exactly “long live Betty” as she put her in her inventory 😭😂
