People always ask me what my inspiration was to start acting and to study it. It's to do stuff like that. To study it so much and so to a point of utter commitment that things are different because of it. To be able to make a person shiver with fear or (excitement and awe in my case) and just be able to be like 'yeah, that's my job. this is what I get to do.' I watch stuff like this and I want to do stuff like that.

Alot of his image is tudor propaganda, for one they found his bones. He wasn't hunch backed and his face certainly didn't look as sinister as the paintings make out. He was actually a pretty good and just king...minus killing his nephews of course

Shakespeare definitely took dramatic license with his characters in order to play to the politics of the day, but the one that truly bothers me is what he did with Richard‘s character as that image has become the popular understanding, and is such an injustice to the real man

I've tried to watch it and found the first episode utterly gore and hard to understand (for a non-native speaker Shakespeare is quite intense), but now that I've seen this, there's no way I can do without watching The Hollow Crown...
