Coyotes are all over Chatsworth. I lived there and they are everywhere. From what I understand it was a shallow grave, which makes sense as it was on a hillside and thus difficult to dig too deep(plus from all accounts Clem was a young knucklehead, so even if it was on flat ground he probably would have dug a shallow grave thinking it was deep enough). The missing hand and the bones looking scattered is probably the result of coyotes having dug him up and eating his remains. Plus the years of rains and shifting soil, covering and uncovering the body. The bones being all over makes perfect sense. Grogan and Davis both testified that the murder happened during the day and I see no reason to doubt it. I think the reason Shorty got into the car with them in the first place is because Manson took the same approach with Shea as he did with the LaBianca's. Remember he told the killers not to panic the victims like they had done the night before at Cielo. That's why Waverly was much less chaotic. It makes sense that he would want Shorty to not panic as well, that's why I believe Ruby Pearl's testimony. I think she saw them approach Shorty, whom she said was scared, and I believe they reassured him that everything was cool. That nobody was going to hurt him and all bitter feelings were water under the bridge. They probably even gave him a beer and had a few laughs with him once he relaxed. The next morning his affable companions of the night before approach him with "Hey, can you drive take us to get some stuff?" etc., and the rest is history. What do you think? Is that feasible to you? I think it makes sense, but I'm curious as to your thoughts about that scenario. Thanks

Hitting a person while they are driving doesn't make anymore sense, then hearing screams a fourth mile or more away. Clem was called Scrambled Brains yet he made the deal of a lifetime, he's been out almost 40 years. I think Shorty was killed because he was there, Psychos don't need a reason to do anything. They just kill. From all the interviews Manson did he wasn't crazy he was acting for the cameras. Bug painted a picture of madness so he played the part.

@surfleopard3 ай бұрын
Yes, Ruby Pearl testified she saw Manson and the guys fan out and advance on Shorty as she was pulling away from Spahn's. We know he was killed in the day. I'm convinced Manson gave the same order that he gave before the LaBianca murders-- don't panic the victim(s) this time. So Manson and co. probably relaxed Shorty and convinced him everything was cool between them. No hard feelings (Charley was a great smooth talker. Very reconciling).. So a very relieved Shea had no problem with the seemingly innocent request for a ride to get auto parts the following morning. He relaxed his guard and it cost him his life.

even nowadays ranches tend to attract the criminal element, I've lived on a ranch for 25 years, thieves, wanted persons, pretty hardcore felons, that was ended up migrating and warming their way onto a ranch. And they bring their trouble with them from vehicle theft to assault. And through the years talking to other Ranch hands that have come through, the stuff they've gone through at other ranches is pretty similar I think the remoteness just attracts that criminal element. One Ranch Hand told me about how the other guys on the ranch were trying to kill him with the owner was gone, he somehow got away broke into the main house to get a gun, used a gun to hold the other guys at Bay so that he could get a vehicle and get away. crazy stuff.

It seems to me that they may have got his head off and maybe another part of a limb. If all you have is a machete, they were tired too. Any hunter will tell you, "all you need, to field dress most game, is a good sharp knife and the know how." if I've heard it a million times. It completely lines up with some young kids with a machete. If there were "pieces", I'd bet it was only a couple. The cop called it, he knew they'd embellished their story.
@stardreamer50082 жыл бұрын
Nice video, from the photos you showed, it does look like he wasnt in one piece, but why would media and coroner lie about it, like what would be their reason be to lie? IDK why they killed Shorty but I think he was maybe a rude belligerent drunk they didnt like, and I lean more toward the theory of Shorty and Ritz trying to get the family removed from the ranch so it makes sense to have him removed first. Just my opinion though. Interesting, indeed.

They made a deal with Clem to find him and prove he wasn't chopped up so then why let Clem go? Clem only served 8 years in prison, the judge at his trial called him stupid and young. I think they took favor in Clem and he may be the one who hacked him into pieces. But who really knows?

@@MichaelsBackporch Yeah if one could get the truth out of Clem, he was right there so he knows why it all went down and interestingly, he's out there right now having a good ole time playin music and Bruce sits in prison doing life and like you said where is Vance and Larry Bailey why did they go free? There's alot that hasnt been told to the public it seems. Clem could tell us what really happened and why, not only with shorty but also on the night of Labianca cause damn he was right there too, and Mary could tell us the real deal about Hinman and her son would also know, and then theres Linda who could tell us more on TLB which is all just history now so will they all just choose to take the truth with them to their own graves, only they know.
