Joshua was a menace. One thing I’m wondering is why a serpent used constantly i symbolism as a blessing of god but in genesis god literally said you be cursed and basically the low of the low.

@@ThisisaConspiracy yes go to numbers 21:8-9 The israelites rebelled against God so He sent snakes in to kill all the people who sinned, but He gave them mercy by telling moses to make a bronze serpent and place it on a pole. He then said that whoever looks on it and believes that God will heal you then you won’t die from the bite. The key word is it’s only if you believe, just like with Jesus. after you read numbers go to john 3:14, Jesus quotes numbers, which was a foreshadowing, we have all been struck by the teeth of sin, but Jesus became sin for us and took our death in His own body. So the serpent itself isn’t a blessing, it’s simply a symbol of Gods righteousness, that He saves His people while using a symbol of the very thing that was killing them. The deeper meaning though is that Christ became sin even though He had no sin, to save the world. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions

@@Project.Reality what is sin? The Old Testament is full of dozens and dozens of rules that no one follows. Also, the Israelites did many horrible things, but God never punished them or told them what they did was wrong. Is slavery not a sin? Or genocide? Or incest? Or rape? Because God condones those things in The Old Testament.
