The Holy Bible - Samuel - A Dedicated Man

During Samuel's youth at Shiloh the Philistines inflicted a decisive defeat against the Israelites at Eben-Ezer, placed the land under Philistine oppression, and took the sanctuary's Ark for themselves. This was decades before the Israelites began to be ruled by a king. After 20 years of such oppression, Samuel, who had gained national prominence as a prophet, summoned the people to Mizpah (one of the highest hills in the land), where he organized them into an army, and led them against the Philistines. The Philistines, having marched to Mizpah to attack the newly amassed Israelite army, were soundly defeated and fled in terror. The retreating Philistines were slaughtered by the Israelites, which the Bible portrays positively. Then Samuel erected a large stone at the battle site as a memorial, and there ensued a long period of peace thereafter.

GOD blessed Hannah when she said she would give her to God if she's born one . This shows that our prayers should not be a selfish one. Due to this, Hannah who had no child was blessed not only with Samuel but also other children . Also, Samuel became prophet who could work for the LORD after Eli who's sons were not obedient to God. Hence, due to Hannah's unselfish prayer not only she got blessed but also the whole nation of ISRAEL got a leader in SAMUEL.

As I read comments, it is so interesting to see how different people notice different things from this story and get different insights according to what is speaking to them! It is good to be attentive to God's word praise God for his holy word the Bible we can hear his voice in his word.🌿 I also when I was a kid I was living with Mom, one time I was in my room alasleep I heard a voice calling my name which sounded just like my mom's voice only it had a completely different tone to it_ I got up and went out of my room and asked mother if she had called me she said no she hasn't called me so I went back to bed this happened three times and mother said no she has not called me that I must be dreaming. but I was very sure she was calling me so I went back to my room and I realized that it must have been God trying to get my attention so I went back to sleep and again I heard the voice and I set up and said "Here I Am Lord" then in my heart I was told to go back to sleep I went back to sleep and had two dreams in one they were very fantastic dreams related to God and a few weeks after I began to read the Holy Bible I read the Bible through five times at least and it took me over 5 years, and now I am very much in love with God's word. 🌿 About the dreams I had, I cannot talk about them because I believe I need to keep them between me and God. But thanks for sharing your comment it reminded me of this event in my life.
