I was a new Christian in 1982 and first heard John Starnes sing this song. I lifted my hands and cried to our Lord standing in my kitchen. Now in 2020 I still know the words and I am deeply moved again. Beautiful song and a beautiful singer.

I worked as an Engineer for KAUZ-TV in Wichita Falls Texas for many years in the 1970's and 80's. We use to sign on with Jimmy Swaggart. I always stopped and listened to John Starnes whenever he came on. Such a beautiful voice that just touches the soul. Thank You John Starnes and God bless.
