Great Trick. You note that the number of ways a deck of 52 cards can be shuffled is 8 with 67 zeros. This number is so large that very few people can even begin to comprehend this. To try to put this in some perspective, the number of seconds since the Bing Bang (about 13.8 billion years ago) the number of seconds since then is 10 with only 17 zeros, which by itself is impossible for most people to comprehend

Uno cards are not required - you can use any cards numbered 0-9. It's only a force of the number you know so you could force that any way you like!

Nice effect..here's the problem..you started by saying the boxed deck is shuffled..True it is but not infront of the spectators..it is shuffled by you before the effect commences to 'set up' the effect..a nice variation would be to false shuffle/cut the boxed deck in front of spec. & then place it back in box..you then proceed as your great demonstration..I shall definitely be performing this effect..thank you..regards Phil..keep the magic alive

Thank you so much for this method👍👍 what an ingenious stack , I have a question do you have to start with an ace when building the stack

Tom, did you create this method of locating the cards? It's very cool. Are you a C language programmer? This method reminds me of C pointers where the value of a variable isn't the value, it "points" to a memory address (location) where the value is. Once you know the "formula", the card in the draw deck "points" to the location of the card in the box deck.
@johnlipski39952 ай бұрын
Oh Boy! Is there any chance you could show both of your decks face up or give the order of the cards you worked out in your tutorial? It would be great and save us poor people who get tired of working it out. Hope you know what I mean. By the way A FANTASTIC TRICK. Thanks just hoping for an easy out. LOL.

Really great presentation though did I miss the bit where in a particular pile eg spades there are no remaining cards to swap. You mentioned swapping two cards from two different piles? So if out of spades for example, what do you do next?

How do you know what number each card represents?
@terryfletcher47172 ай бұрын
The position of the card in the boxed deck is determined by two things The value of the card BELOW the selected card plus the cipher (value) assigned to the suit of the selected card. The cipher depends on the suit order you use while creating the stack. In the video Tom's 4 piles were in CHSD order - Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds. Thus Clubs pile was assigned a cipher value 0, Hearts 13, Spades 26 and Diamonds 39. So if the card below the selection is the 4 of spades, the card will be in position 30(4+26) in the box deck. Hope this helps
