Have you ever found a twoonie that has the polar bear stretched? Also behind the bear it looks like some light rays but is probably wrinkles due to the stretching of the bear?

I think your commentator errored at the 7:30 mark. That toonie sold for $4700 with added expenses, which is says brought it to $4100.00??? ADDED EXPENSES??? I'm pretty sure it ended up selling for in total, $5100.00 in Sept 2021.

Yes it’s real when they first came out some would pop apart. I have had several…stupidly didn’t hold on to one though 😣

Amazing how the $2 NOTE was discontinued due to cost because of how “fragile” it was being made of “paper”. It was not made of Paper. It was 75% Cotton and 25% linen. So we do away with it because of the cost yet it cost far far MORE to make a “Twoonie” than it did a “Note” even it if WAS Cotton & Linen……we did it because the COIN would last exponentially longer than a “Note”. Well, we now have “notes” made of Polymer, lasting 2.5 times longer than the Linen & Cotton notes. At the end of the day when all of the numbers are input, it would still be far less expensive to have kept the $2 note until it became another Polymer note…..in the long run anyway but hindsight is 20/20. I still have a stack of $2 notes my Grandfather gave me since I was little. Every time my Grandparents came to visit, my Grandad would always give me the $2 notes in his wallet. It could be one or it could be 10, there were always given to me. I treasure them to this day. Some are mint and some….not so much lol. They are still a great memory. One has a name and phone number on it and I would have been about 14 when he gave me that one. I actually thought about dialling the number once or twice just to see who and why anyone would do that….but back then, calling out of Province cost a fortune so I never did and now, I highly doubt that person is still “around” let alone at the same phone number if they were. As I got into my early teens he started to give my “new” little brother the $2 notes and I would get the $5. My little bother being young had no idea that these $2 notes would be very valuable some day so I would “trade” him a Blue one for a Red/Brown one every now and then. So I now have many $2 and a much smaller pile of $5. At Christmas I asked my Brother if he kept his notes from Grandad in his safe and if so, does he have them in acid free “envelopes”. He just looked at me and said “What notes?” Haven’t truly NO CLUE what I was talking about……so I explained…….heard his response once he understood what I was talking about. Then I fell off my chair. He SPENT THEM AT THE CANDY STORE THE MINUTE AFTER OUR GRANDPARENTS LEFT……🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Well, I guess I will have the last laugh because when I got home I sent him a photo of one of my $2 Notes along with the “book” value and….well….HE FELL OFF HIS CHAIR. WINNING!!!!!

With all the specs you say that the toonie from 1996 has to have How do you measure all that? How do you know if you have 92% copper and so on and so on I would say 99% of the people that would be looking for these quarters have no clue how to figure that out
