I had anxiety from time to time when I have projects that I think I screwed up. Insomnia, losing my attention, and losing my confidence, not to mention the loss of happiness. I started off feeling like an imposter being employed as a sr PM, having no domain experience in the company. I had to pull myself up, bite the tongue and keep growing my domain knowledge. I am still struggling with anxiety when projects have issues, and I’m getting promotion soon to team lead, which added more stress to the plate. Thanks for sharing, it’s therapeutic to know that I’m not the only one.

Hey, I really needed to hear this today, all of this made sense. I repeatedly think if I am needed and feel like an imposter. I also ask myself is what I am doing productive or does it just feel productive. Having the courage to say no to requests that are not productive is what I have learnt this year as well. Thx again.

Hi Alvin, I just started watching your videos. Contents are really good. Thank you for the time and effort you are putting. I am also a person looking to switch my career into project management. And I have all the questions in my mind that you are stated here. So, I am not alone here :D. I too am anxious that people would expect me to know every single detail about the project and sometimes or often people asking me to do engineering work itself. I am having hard time differentiating PM work and engineering related work. I myself a mechanical engineer and worked on projects directly. How to identify PM tasks vs engineering/other department tasks?

@nayanapoojari, CONGRATS on acing an interview for a PM Role!!! NICE WORK!!! PM is definitely a good progression, as I've shared in my previous videos. There's always pros and cons to any jobs, and for me, I've actually found that being a Project Manager has been very rewarding, being able to lead teams and to make more of an impact from the business level.

hi Alvin. I need your advice whether my job experience and the training falls in the required category of Pmp eligibility .im a government servant and a tax collector.i have experience of 7years. My routine job responsibilities are the monitoring and audit of tax affairs of different tax payers. Along with this sometimes i carry out some awareness campaigns among different business sectors regarding any change in tax laws. Beside that ,i carried out Point of sell integration of all retailors at local level ,a new initiative taken by the government. What part of my job, in ur advice,falls in the required category.
