I can remember being invited by a friend who used to drive me to school for a cab ride in a 117 from Enfield Town to Liverpool Street and back. Thanks for another excellent video. Very interesting to see the Faller Road system, did you need any extra materials, or was there enough in the starter system to complete the job? I also don't see anything but modern vehicles on the Faller web-site, I see some truck/bus chassis, but nothing that would allow me to convert maybe an 1940's/50's Oxford diecast vehicle.
@hornbymag4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve, all the bits we used bar the sand paper and scraper were in the kit. There are a lot of cars to choose from but you can retro fit models you want with a fallar chassis. Keep an eye on future issues of the magazine as we'll be covering it.

Another great video guys & the added feature of road vehicles moving is a big plus for the layout. Not sure if it was just me but the FedEx van seemed to be moving quicker than the Mercedes van so is that a potential problem with it catching up to another vehicle or can speed of individual vehicles be adjusted? Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year. Let’s hope 2021 is better than 2020 🙏

Now come on Mike this is the third time of asking, please replace that GWR bracket signal, if you're a GWR fan at least replace it with another with the taller arm representing the main line, it's such a small item compared to all the work your doing on the layout but to a retired BR signalman it's sticking out like a sore thumb. That's the grumbling over with, well done lads you are all great modellers and very inspirational and I always look forward to your video's ( but get that signal sorted before the next one, no excuses). Take care lads and a Happy and HEALTHY new year to all of you.
@hornbymag4 жыл бұрын
Ha Thanks Paul, when Dapol release the correct one I'll swap it..
@paulwilson30834 жыл бұрын
@@hornbymag Please swap it before then, you have an appropriate signal on the opposite side of the tracks on the slow line near the goods shed one like that would be perfect, you are all to professional to have a inappropriate signal on such a detailed layout take care lads and looking forward to your next video (if the signals replaced lol), regards Paul.

@kleedhamhobby3 жыл бұрын
Impressive. I very fiddly install, done much better than I imagine I could ever do it. But what the road vehicles really need to improve them is a system that allows them to slow down as they approach and go round corners. As it is, they approach and go round a right angle bend at exactly the same speed they were proceeding along the straight road, and it looks, honestly, kind of ridiculous, and nothing at all like the way a real road vehicle would be driven.

Should be ashamed of yourself, ripping out the hedgerows like that just to widen a road, wild life habitat destruction etc etc aside from that the road system looks really good, get a bunc!, point of interest you should lengthen the white lines before the corner to signify a hazard,
