She drank to the level of being over 3x the legal limit with her infant twins in the vehicle, berated police officers, bragged about her wealth, and even threatened to falsely accuse one of them. Her apology was essentially: “ I’m sorry for being a martyr. I’m a self sacrificing person by nature and always put the needs of everyone else ahead of my own. @DR3ADER1
@DR3ADER1 13 күн бұрын
@@snusnu39 For one, her desire for money is not based on her views of equality, but on her personal fiscal enrichment. And when people pointed out that the "equal pay" narrative was based entirely on myth, she ignored it and pressed on anyway. Considering that the settlement was merely less than the average earnings of a small second-division men's club, she tried to pass it off as a victory despite no progress being made in the long term. That's discounting the fact that the only reason why she pressed the case was that her perception of her actual abilities as a footballer was greater than the reality of it all, considering that she lost to a bunch of children, young enough to be her sons, in a friendly match. The long and short of it is that it was all Ego, just like Solo's campaigning. Ego and narcissism. All steeped in sociopathy.

4:41 I will say one thing about football is that even if you’re one of the greats, if you do a crime the fans will usually never mention you again. In England for example Ryan Giggs was highly regarded for a long time, but then his crimes came out and now he’s not even mentioned by United fans. So don’t worry she’s thankfully already been moved on from in football which is good because someone like this shouldn’t deserve any good recognition.

Players get paid based on butts in the seat. Period. It is an NPV calculation based on expected revenue. That accounts for the discrepancy. If women want to earn more, they need to get mom’s to bring daughters to games. I see dad’s doing it. I don’t see mom’s. The players need to get out there and promote women’s sports to raise their brands. Owners need to invest in the marketing. It is not about sexism. It is unfortunate that they win and get less resources but is just a money calculation.
@amyparker9816
@amyparker9816 4 күн бұрын
@@Galworld761 What an ignorant comment. First of all, the USNWT has been putting butts in seats for a very long time now - more than the USMNT, in fact. Secondly, for many, MANY years now the players have been promoting women's sports, but misogyny at a societal level doesn't disappear overnight. Thirdly, commenting that "mom's don't bring their kids to games" is absolutely ridiculous for multiple reasons. 1) Yes, moms absolutely do bring their children to games. Just because you apparently don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. 2) How much time do you think moms have? It's a fact that women continue to do the lion's share of household duties. If you see a lot of dads at sporting events with kids, I would bet you that 9/10 times there's a mom at home with younger kids or catching up on things that she never has time for. 3) It is generally true that men watch sports, partake in sports, and go to sporting events more than women. But why is that? Perhaps it's because as girls get older there are fewer and fewer options for them to continue their sports. Or maybe it's because when girls and women show interest in sports, we're mocked relentlessly and told that we're only interested in sports to get a boyfriend. Or maybe it's because when we do go to sporting events we have to be on high alert at all times because there are drunk men everywhere. So yes, actually, it is about sexism.

Just remember, OJ was a great football player, but he had dozens of verified DV against Nicole. Sports isn’t everything. Edit: Please stop saying “you people”, “white boy”, or reparation insults to me. It doesn’t help the argument. I intentionally only stated about verified DV, but ok. Let’s play this game since everyone thinks he is so innocent. He was convicted of a violent felony, armed robbery, but we will skip over that for now. There were photos of OJ in 1991 in those rare gloves purchased by Nicole. The receipt was shown in court. Only 200 made and sold in New York where Nicole shopped. OJ tried on a new pair of XL gloves and they fit. He allegedly did not fit in the shrunken gloves. 30 photos later resurfaced after the trial that showed OJ in the rare Bruno Magli shoes. Only 299 size 12 made in the whole world. The tread of the shoe was covered in bld and at the the crime scene and in his Bronco. OJ said he never owned a pair after shown the photos of himself in the shoes. He alleged they were fake. He was on a football field at a Broncos game commenting with them on. To this day the shoes are missing. Not even LAPD had access to the shoes “Mocha” brown fibers were found at the scene on the glove and on the glove at OJs. The jury was not allowed to hear that only 1700 vehicles out of the over 5 million vehicles had that carpet in LA. The fibers were confirmed to be from a 1993 or 1994 Bronco. Not even terrible Fuhrman could have pulled that off. Please, don’t lie to yourself. The jury didn’t have all the info, but it’s more than available now

In regards to the interview where she mentions her "6'9 nephew hitting her over the head", Why are these people always convinced they're coming off as genuine, rather than over-acted? Probably because everyone around them has just smiled them and said "yes" to them their entire lives

In Britain, footballers are from working class backgrounds. They’d be working in factories, on building sites, serving in the British army, or doing petty crime, if they weren’t a professional footballer. Britain’s got no history of university sport in the way America has, especially when football is a working class sport. University sport is exclusively amateur in Britain, it doesn’t lead to a professional career. Cricket and rugby are more middle class.

@@TheGlovener1985 It's hard to quantify and compare between sports but a good game of footie can be fast and furious, any weather and with minimal protective clothing. Where fitness levels are concerned, the best routinely spend half their time in the gym / physio when there's no match. If it's not the toughest sport in someone's opinion, it has to be one of them.

The whole salary situation, once you look into it, turns out to be the opposite of what they claimed; they simply negotiated different contracts. When offered the same contract as the men, they turned it down. They wanted one with stable pay and benefits, whereas the men were essentially paid per game played.

when you take into account that they we're getting paid a fixed salary even when they weren't playing, and enjoyed numerous benefits and bonuses that weren't given to the men, they were actually paid more than the men! the whole equal pay claim was the biggest scam in sport since Lance Armstrong and US Postal! because everybody was too lazy to check, too scared to call it out for what it was, and all trying to get as much virtue points as possible, they got away with it! With Solo and Rapinoe, the US women's team have managed to accrue the two most despicable female athletes in the history of the game!
