Very interesting and challenging listening. Didn't dig Skying, too flat and unexciting for me, but this one, although very pop, doesn't remind me of any other specific band or song (yeah, the Bunnymen and a bit of Moroder, but nothing too obvious), and sounds musically rich and rather hooky.

Thought the pendulum would swing back after the pop-like Skying , which had tracks like "moving further away", although I had found around half of it very interesting and experimental, it had a certain commercial hunger to it. Fingers crossed this isn't testament to the feel of the whole album, got that feel about it that they've just got swept up in the gear they invested in.

Your songs are all so brilliantly arranged. It's like a beautiful rabbit hole: keep getting sucked into more and more layers of what the keys, bass and guitars are doing; all the effects, the syncopation. Got this album a few year back and keep finding more in it as time goes on, just by listening to the way you've pieced these tunes together. Freakin' brilliant.

It's surprising to me that Primary Colors is one of my favourite albums of all time, standing up against some of the legendary shoegaze albums such as Loveless, Doppelganger and Whirlpool, yet I don't really love Skying. I haven't heard Luminous yet, but I've been told it covers a lot of the same territory as Skying, which is putting me off.
