Thank you for sharing this gem from Walt Disney. It was a favorite then and is still wonderful to watch. I always remember to throw your heart over and jump after it. It has gotten me through some tough times.

Wonderful world of Disney was a great part of my childhood. I watched every Sunday night at 6pm unless my dad wanted to watch 60minutes. It came on at the same time and my dad won out.

The Horsemasters by Don Stanford is one of my all-time favorite books. I first read it as a child and have read it periodically throughout my life. I remember when the movie first aired on The Wonderful World of Color and I was glued to the TV!

I hope this stays put on KZbin so people can find it. I found it when someone gave me a dvd rip of it. I was on a quest to collect every horse themed movie I could find. There's another one that's hard to find titled The Horse with the Flying Tail. You can find The Horse in the Gray Flannel Suit easily. That one is on DVD.

I have ridden horses for more than 65 years. Western not English style. And I will admit there are some differences, but when you come down to it , horsemanship is horsemanship. I watch this movie and I have to laugh. In some ways is it kind of ridiculous.
@cathynewyork7918 Жыл бұрын
You wrote 4 years ago on KZbin that The Horsemasters movie is 'kind of ridiculous' - but this actually was a REAL horsemaster school in England at that time, with a real course of instruction leading to written and performance examinations to certify riding instructors. It is a fictional version of real life. The movie is based on a book "The Horsemasters" by Don Stanford, a book which I still have from my childhood, which is a novel based on real people who took the real-life Horsemaster course and British Horse Society exams in England.
@gloriapinskerportraits480110 ай бұрын
Yes, that is correct! It is based on a real horsemaster program in the UK.
