I changed my mind on the horus engine after some test. The presence of the 2 Horus monsters on field is difficult to deal. Even if you go for just the monsters and hand traps you can recicle hand traps with Hapi, and if the opponent deal with Hapi Imsety will remove a card from field. Just made a play test where I used veiller, recovered veiller and used it again.

I relate to this so hard… every time I see a deck pop off and try it out myself I just lost coin toss to negate boards or full stun setups. Even if I get to go first I get mostly hand traps and one engine card that gets hand trapped by the opponent

Definitely play gamma it protects imsety and cricket from ash, maxx c in general, and is a great handtrap against snake eye and other decks in general, also prosp and lonefire are kinda bad since prosp turns off imsety draw and lonefire isn't a naturia by name so you can't summon it with blessing if you have used up your normal summon or you normalled it and it got popped. Cut those and maybe a nib and you're looking pretty good. I have objections with some of the flex spots in the extra but the basics are all there so I don't think I need to go into too much detail, cheers ✌️

Yeah I actually tested it and it does work really well. The problem is its very bad at going second bc you replace all your handtraps with a runick package basically.

I lost to a naturia horus deck yesterday. Of course I lost the coin flip and I of course I hadn't seen this video at that time. The mad lad started with NB and I was like meh. But then when started summoning SHS, crimson, arch fiend and Salazar I just sat there and smiled..out of respect It was refreshing to see a deck that could have so many BBs.. Not sure how it would perform going second though..

This deck is just a hand trap deck, you even said yourself, you don’t want to open more than 1 Naturia card and Horus is only included to put up a free rank 8 negate. You’re winning by your opponent scooping because they can’t play the game with an abundance of hand traps plus a negate on the field. I don’t think this is healthy for the game, there’s no interaction, just stop your opponent from playing. I would like to see Yugioh move away from generic hand traps and move more to being able to skillfully break boards with in archetype combos. I don’t see how 4-5 negates activating from the hand is healthy for the game.

I cant beat snake eyes without the handtraps most of the time. Saying "its just a handtrap deck" is pretty reductive. The deck still has its own play style and gameplan.

@@MasterDuelCentral I agree, hand traps is how you best snake eye and I don’t blame you for doing it, it’s just an observation on the state of the game. The only thing Naturia and Horus are doing in the deck is putting up an extra negate each to then hopefully swing on an empty field next turn. Which is the point of my comment, it’s not really a playstyle in itself, it’s just stopping your opponent from playing.

Running 15+ hand traps defeats the entire point of deck building and intended gameplay IMO. It’s not a jab at you, just an observation.

Or that goat format decks don't have a real playstyle because they all have the same 15 blowout staples. I can empathize with the sentiment that handtraps might be too decisive in today's meta game but I can't agree that it somehow erases a deck's own playstyle/identity.
