Roger Ebert gave this film three out of four stars and wrote, "Only movie lovers who have marinated their imaginations in the great B movies from RKO and Republic will recognize 'The Hot Spot' as a superior work in an old tradition." ... The purists couldn't agree more... A very good movie on so many levels to have done so poorly at the box office... Don't miss it!

The is a Soundtrack, most of the Music is by John Lee Hooker and Miles Davis, I've only ever seen it on Cassette, I have it somewhere.
