I went to the hottest place in the world, the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia. It is about 125 metres below sea level and has the highest year-round average temperatures. It was one of the most insane places and most incrediblee trips I've ever been on.

Rift valley mountains, Vast lakes, Salt flats, Ancient Historic sites, Danakil, the bustling modernizing capital city, great food and brimming with unique dance music, and culture. Ethiopia truly has it all. Thanks for documenting and sharing bro!

Congratulation as you have now proved you are one of the worlds strong and healthy person as have manged to over come this fierce environment in the world. you have also seen the ocean standing on it with out using sub marine .it just like traveling to the moon or visiting another planet and visiting one of the rare active volcano on earth.but in your reporting be more positive not pessimist and appreciate more on ethiopia and do some background reading so you can explain more but ethiopia has mor hidden thing to show to the world mengesh hailemelekot

So odd to see this, just been there 3 weeks ago and I can totally understand how you feel. Danakil was surreal, quite tiring with the heat and the long drives, but Dallol and Erta Ale made up for it. Ethiopia is so rich, and has so much potential, I really hope they get their politics sorted out...
