Graham is a Shaman in this scene. Communicating with the dead to save the living. What a great movie.

One of the greatest thrillers ever made, Petersen and Noonan deserved an Oscar for this!

Mann’s scores are so good. The bass in the song simulates a melodic heartbeat, as if to let the audience know Graham is focused on the moment. It also just makes the scene and Petersens dialogue punchy. He’s trying to recall something that’s already happened. Like hearing voices echo. Kinda like the song. Awesome movie.

I own this movie. I've watched it so many times. Amazing how he profiles the killer. By getting into his mind.

Best out of any Lector films in my opinion. I rate it higher than even Silence of the Lambs.

@@MacStoker Thanks so much for uploading! It's my probably favourite scene in the Hannibal franchise. The way he yells at the tooth fairy as though he's right there! It's just such great filmaking

@@bl1neoner370 I think he's yelling because he's having another "eureka" moment. he's managed to unlock another door that gets him even deeper and further into the killer's mind.

Maybe not the best Michael Mann movie, I would say that place belongs to Thief, but it is certainly my favorite one, William Petersen is the perfect Graham; after seeing this movie and To Live and to Die in LA I still cannot figure out why Petersen did not become a huge star, bad luck, bad decisions? whatever the case is good he ended making CSI so at least his potential was not completely wasted but he could had been big I reckon.

I'm reading maybe contradicting things about Petersen's possible casting offers for Goodfellas, one article says he was offered the role of Henry Hill but declined while another says he was 2nd in line to play Jimmy Conway if DeNiro declined, so maybe both are true (DeNiro accepted and then Petersen was then offered the role as Henry Hill instead of Jimmy Conway, before Liotta got it). Anyway, landing the lead role on CSI is something 98% of actors would trade their entire careers for so can't feel too bad for the guy lol

I think what I liked most about this film is it was graphic without having to be over the top. It made you think. Of course you had the flaming wheelchair scene and the ending between the two, but overall it was about bringing the viewer into the mind of Graham. Very underrated.
