Wiki: "In 1990, Daniel O'Connor (Danny Boy O'Connor) got together with fellow rapper Erik Schrody (Everlast) who had just released a rap album called Forever Everlasting (1990)...O'Connor knew Schrody when he went to William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, California (1984-1986), and various hip hop events they attended in their teens. Both of Irish American descent, they decided to make a hip hop group with this identity." Hope this clarifies ...

they are not all of irish ancestry- everlast is half german and irish- danny boy the big tall dude is definitely mostly irish but the dj is latvian- good seeing someone reacting to something other than jump around they had so much more than just that- who's the man or put ya head out or fed up are nice too if you do any more from them and lol u are way over analyzing it this is just a hip hop song

This was big around 93. I Remember clearly because it was my freshman year at school and one of my guys was a white guy with a shaved head who liked hip hop. A whole lot of people were totally into this, especially one girl with a mischievous streak.

U2 is a band from Ireland. The joke is that compared to Irish Americans who are often tough blue collar hooligans and the guys from U2 are wusses. Anyway, House of Pain was just a fun hip hop group who represented us Irish Americans. "Top O' the Mornin to Ya" and "Put Your Head Out" feat Cypress Hill are good tracks too

Shenanigans is also an Irish word. Anyway, these guys are from Boston, which by American logic makes them Irish.

They weren't Irish and they weren't from Boston. They were out of New York if I remember correctly... The whole Irish/Boston thing was just a gimmick. Also, there's a heavy metal version of this song. I don't care much for it, but it's worth checking out.
