It seems it was still in development, but then Sega decided to release it as soon as possibile. This could be the reason why backgrounds look so rough

That's not a bad theory. As mentioned in the review, 1998 was a lean year for the Saturn. Sega might have looked at the game and said, "good enough we need something for March" and just shipped it.

Incredible game. This port is not great, with the loading and extreme pixelation. But still, it remains a great game and the extra's are pretty good. 9/10

Agreed! It's one where gameplay trumps graphics in this case (well, this should always be the case but you know what I mean). As I mentioned in the review this one keeps me coming back for good reason.

Japanese version is much cheaper. Thats the one I own.😊👍
