Exactly media and most nfl watchers just hate the fact that the Texans are somehow better than their favorite team now. They pray diggs ruins our chemistry and takes us down with him but in reality diggs needs this year to go good for him or he will more than likely be on a small deal after next year by whatever team decides to sign him. It's one season and he never complained early at MIN or BUF. Everyone thinks Diggs is a cancer but look back at the circumstances of when he started "crying". He was upset he missed the superbowl window in BUF. He wants a ring and he is passionate.

I don’t think Stefan is going to be a problem. When you look at his situation with the Buffalo Bills, he was the number one receiver with Gabe Davis being the number two guy. After Gabe Davis, though who is the next go to target? Part of the reason why Stefan was so frustrated is because Josh Allen kept trying to force it to the number three or the number four when they are not able to get in a one on one situation. with Stefon Diggs going to the Texans, he has other valuable weapons with Nico Collins and Tank Dell. I am sure that Stefan already knows that he doesn’t have to be the go to guy if they are looking to win it out. Instead, it could be looking at this with a leadership approach in the wide receiver room where there is not a lot of veteran presence. With a leader like CJ Stroud, I think he knows that the play caller will be very well prepared for any defense to be thrown at him and will make the correct calls. Even without Stefan last year, CJ‘s composure was phenomenal and being able to make the right reads and the right throws at the right time. So I really do not see an issue for the locker room at all. That’s my thoughts on it.

Coach Ryan’s said “no energy vampires” . I think diggs will get along. If not that’s why they made it a one year deal. I’m guessing for two reasons. 1. So he has an incentive to play his best and 2. In case he does become a problem they can let him go. Either way I’m glad he’s on the team.

Everybody keeps mentioning how Diggs is only gonna be with Houston for one season, but we still have Nico and tank Dell this wide receiver. Core is unstoppable. Cannot be stopped right now. Nobody in the league. Nico Collins is only going to get better. He can easily step into the wider or one roll at any time. I’m not worried about after this season.

We have a chance finally to have a better season than 2012 when we went 12-4. I'm from Houston and played football in highschool. I was an oilers fan and love football but I'm such a Houston fan I didn't even watch football when Houston had no team in 2002 I was so happy. I've never missed a Texans game since 2002 even if I had to listen to it on the radio. I'm more excited now more than ever. Watt was a beast but Coach Ryan's has done something special..

TEXTEX QUESTION: How much cap space do the Texans need to roll over each year to front load key players' contracts (e.g. Nico, Stingley, etc.) in order to prepare for CJ Stroud's NFL record-breaking $400 Million contract, not to mention Will Anderson? I was estimating keeping $20 Mil cap space free, rolling it over each of the next 4 seasons. The alternative would be gutting our best players, and get use to a mediocre team barely making the playoffs after CJ's 5th season. What say you?

Here's the difference with Diggs. Texans have a very structured team and offense and at this point in Diggs' career, he's trying to win. He already has accomplished prestigious stats, so as long as they are winning, he will be fine. After so many years of bad losses in Buffalo, it wears on you and tbh, Stroud vs Josh Allen make a huge difference. More optimism and growth with Stroud as opposed to a guy who has consistently failed in the playoffs and kind of plateaued

I think Diggs will behave himself because this is a contract year for him and if he acts up it will hurt him at contract time next year. He would officially be a malcontent on three straight teams. It's weird, it's not like the Texans don't have 2 more receivers of Diggs caliber already. We're not in the bind most teams are because Diggs isn't a necessity, he's a luxury that could be dropped if he started acting up. But ya'll also forget that he's auditioning for free agency this year which means he's gonna do whatever it takes to make himself not look like a cancer to a team. If he's as self centered the way everyone says he is then it's in his self interest to appear to be the greatest teammate in the world because that's what will decide if the Texans or any other team would want and pay the type of money he thinks he deserves.
