Personally, I find the Nike Air Max 95 is the best design they have ever come up with. The fact that it was resurrected so many times, proves this point. It is so beautiful, especially the Triple Black. When I just arrived in senior school in 1994, I saw the upper level students rocking these, and they were the most expensive colour, plus we could only wear shoes that were one colour, either black, white or brown.

Nice Video! You should do a video of the AIR MAX BW. We call them "Classics" here in Germany. This shoe was the shoe of a whole generation of "Gabbers" (A subculture of kids listen to Hardcore Techno Music with his peak in the millenium years) in the netherlands/germany/belgium. Everybody had this shoe! There were so much nice colorways and specials released back in the days. I think the BW is really underrated and Nike did nothing to celebrated that shoe together with the Hardcore communitiy.

I was at my first job at a sporting goods store after graduating high school in 95. Had to grab the slate blues as soon as I saw them in the shop catalogue. They had some skate shoes that year as well but had to order direct. Have not found pics of those anywhere. The 96 skate shoe pics I have seen but not the 95's.

I always loved the air max 90's but these videos made me get a pair 95's (navy blue/grey/white), 97's (black on white), and tn's (all black). I'm not sure how much this will mean to you guys, or if you'll see this comment, but I make presentations that I talk through, all the time at my job and I now how hard it is/ how much I stress over them. I just wanted to say that these videos are incredible and to keep up the awesome work. Please come out with one on the Air Max 90's.

back in 95 these were running shoes, but i would not consider them running shoes now. the vaporfly and almost every air max is just a sneaker and not a shoe with the intention of running. nike has a lot of great running shoes tho ;) nice content btw

bro the Vaporflys are designed specifically to be high performance running shoes. The carbon footplate, the zoom foam (which isn't very durable) and the vaporweave upper (zero insulation for cold days) all point to how performance was favoured over use as a normal shoe.

Have you thought of making a history vid on the Air Max 90? It’s the Air Max 90’s 30th anniversary, and Nike’s been recreating the shoe to original form.

the 95 was a great looking shoe and desired for streetwear but I don’t remember it as desirable for running. Most serious runners were into Asics, New Balance, Brooks, Saucony, etc. And Mizuno was also starting to make a name for themselves,

3:41 I keep finding it hilarious the fact Nike's top men always kept saying a particular shoe wouldn't work, and yet it nearly always comes through despite that! 😂 Funny enough, I read up somewhere that Tinker didn't like the final design for the 95, much to my surprise, but I really appreciate Sergio's take on it! I really hope Nike gives it the big bubble treatment in the future as the recent retro years back didn't had the proper bubble height on the heel unit nor the PSI label on it!
