I spent many years working on a road crew just up the road out of Leadville. I spent my adult life editing video. I can safely say everyone here has seen my shows many times through the years. Yep, those shots were days apart and I dont think even the same road. We call that "cheating" in the business. Bad acting too. Good eye Tye!

Dave (on camera anyways) uses proper words when he is instructing people. Pretty amazing compared to just telling a guy to hurry etc. The term they use is motivate, but technically no one can motivate someone, the definition states comes from with in. A good leader manipulates (sounds bad, but that is because the word usually used in a derogatory or negative context. Like consequences people perceive as negative but can mean good or bad, same as manipulated.

Haul roads are either your biggest liability or biggest asset...In this case "Liability" with a medium/high risk...Preventative measures should have been planned and put in place before any wheel turned on that section. This definitely would've reduced the anxiety of the operator in their performance of being productive. It will also reduce fuel consumption, prolonging maintenance and rolling resistance in other words cost per ton...In saying that its understandable with the budget they are on and the limited machinery they have...
@drmodestoesq2 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking that's part of the "reality" that is reality TV. I can't imagine beaking off at a guy for not putting his foot to the mat when he's on a bumpy road in an insanely expensive piece of equipment and facing risk of personal injury. In real life the guy would tell him to get bent and inform his superiors. Oh....and you're right....they need to grade that road. It's slowing things down.

Two words........ Water supply. You either spend money moving the water to the pay or moving pay to the water......... in this case the local topography makes it nigh on impossible to store water near the cut....... it's pretty obvious really.
