Hello Tim! I'm the headscarf guy on the locomotive. I found this channel a few days ago, so I didn't recognize you. I hope you had a good time on our locomotive. Best regards, Bence.

Hello, I enjoyed visiting the Magyar Vasúttörténeti Park, there were a lot of very interesting exhibits, I'd like to have spent longer looking around. Budapest is a wonderful city with a rich history, if I get another opportunity to visit Hungary I would like to return and maybe ride another museum train. Next time we will recognise each other. Thanks to yourself and the rest of the volunteers for making our visit such a pleasant experience 😊.

Those Hungarian locomotives sure have interesting shapes. Nice to see what the railroad museum in this video has to offer. Cool footage! Érdekes formájúak azok a magyar mozdonyok. Öröm látni, mit kínál a videóban szereplő vasúti múzeum. Klassz felvételek!

Hi Tim! Very nice rarities are included. As is well known, the Hungarians are a very friendly people👍. They also let you try out a steam locomotive😂. Best regards from Hans and Cheers 🍻🇦🇹.

Hello Hans, it is a fascinating museum with an excellent collection of locomotives, many of which used to be mounted on plinths at railway stations around the country. It was fun to have a footplate ride. Cheers 🍺 Tim.

@@Timsvideochannel1 I´ll be looking forward to the video :) If you are visiting every year, I would recommend coming in September, when there are usually two great events - Prague Railway day and Steam locomotives´ festival, usually in two following weekends. I visited both of them this year and it was so nice :) Well, I´m pretty exhausted because there were so many things to film and plenty of people everywhere, but it´s definitely worth it :) I wondered what purpuse served the beautiful painted car with golden angels in your video? It is so beautiful :)

@@BlanCamCZ Hello, thank you for the recommendation, I'm hoping to travel with the Railway Touring Company next year to see the two events you mentioned, I love Prague, it's a beautiful city with plenty to see and do. I'd like to have visited this year, but I have arranged to see my son in New Zealand next month along with some Australian railways on the way. The two trips were too close together to do both. I don't know what the purpose of the carriage with the golden wings is, maybe it is to carry the coffin of someone very important, it seems a bit over the top to be a mobile church. This link shows the carriage, together with some information - vasuttortenetipark.hu/en/gallery/

I was stumped for a minute there, than I had an idea - use Google Translate - Hungarian to English and press the little speaker icon and hey presto a lady pronounces it for you. Wow, I love Google!!! 😊

@@Timsvideochannel1 It was the angle you shot the rails that made me think it was broad-gauge. But I gave as good as I got. 😁

sad when a milling machine looks like a relic from the past these days.....
@Timsvideochannel1
@Timsvideochannel1 Жыл бұрын
I used to operate a milling machine like the one in the photo, the machines I use today aren’t as sturdy as the old machines, my cylindrical grinder was made in the 1970's and being based on a solid heavy casting it gives a much better finish than its modern equivalent. Not all modern machines are better than old ones.
