I love Vast and Root, hardcore fan of them. Very different experiences with both. I always enjoy that Vast gives you a real experimental ground for each play you have. There is no single gameplay that is like a previous one and I think the more dynamic character of Vast is more for this type of player who enjoys this side of the hobbie: what could happend if...? If I mix this with that..? And the scientist in me is always up for this. Root is more a competitive experience. The more you get to play it the more you learn from it and starts to build that engine that would maje your Faction roar. For me I have them both close to my heart and I agree that if Vast: TCC and/or TMM have bots, for me it will always be a Go to... wish they had this bot projects for Vast like they did with Root. Great video!

I wish Leder would create a digital version of Vast, as good as their Root app.. that would be perfect for solitare and remote playing

It’s my favorite game that they make. I’m sort of surprised and disappointed that it doesn’t get more attention just by association with leder games, considering how well liked root is generally.

i think Vast: The Crystal Caverns got kind of a bad rap for a number of reasons. it's a less polished and more finicky version of The Mysterious Manor. the rules are quite a bit more obtuse with more corner cases and the entanglements/interactions between factions are not quite as obvious. The Mysterious Manor is the more polished design by far but i really love the sandbox fell of The Crystal Caverns as well! anyway i do think The Crystal Caverns maybe hurt people revisiting the concept for this iteration. i didn't play it for the longest time because i figured i'd already experienced it (and liked it a lot) with the previous entry.

Is it worth getting for just Solo? I know there is a SOLO version for only the Paladin. But not the other creatures.

Sorry you don't like the video. In general calling someone a talking head is rather insulting, and is not appreciated. You're welcome to offer your opinion on what you would like to see, but let's keep the insults to yourself or don't comment.

@@HungryGamerReviews 'talking head' is a film term. I work in film. You will need a thicker skin if you are getting in to this game.

And I'm not in "this game" it's a hobby, and the fact that you refer to it as "this game" implies that you are living on a different plane of existence than I am...i hope it is nice there.
