Interesting to see some riding from a part of the UK that I don't know at all. I shall be back for more. Keep up the good work!

Looks like a great route to do but I think I'll leave it to the summer lockdowns etc permitting. Great vid by the way.

There are better routes, it was just a quick loop this one. I'll try to get a better route together when the weather improves. Thanks Chris 😁

We've been waiting to see "The Hunt for Bunton Hush" to see how you coped. It's a lot worse after the floods, so well done on surviving it. It's our backyard riding up that way from Reeth on our e-bikes, but we steer clear of Bunton Hush, although there is an easier (?) way down from Stonecrusher that we need to explore when the weather improves. Thanks for sharing Matthew.

It's very washed away in places. I hear there are a few ways down 🤔 I've been down Friarfold Hush before (which I used to think was Bunton Hush) and that was fun. Would like to explore a bit more over that way as there are a few bridleways.

Just started exploring round here after seeing your videos. Are you using the garmin base maps.. Nice work mate

Cheers mate. I plot my rides on Garmin connect but also use OS maps for most routes

aw man i`m desperate to get back up there when when covid restrictions are eased but i reckon i`ll give bunton hush a miss if i`m on a solo ride!
@RockGullyMTB4 жыл бұрын
Same here! Feels ages ago this ride, just before latest lockdown. It would have to be a summers day for me to ride down Bunton Hush again haha, and definitely not solo. Absolutely brutal it was 😬

just stumbled across this video while passing the time, i`m guessing it could be the same old mine entrance you looked into @3:00 and thought you may be interested,we`ve no idea how much history is in the ground we`re riding over. **just realised the entrance is totally different ** kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3mXnKWubc6tmpI

Fantastic find Paul 👍 really interesting. There must be loads of tunnels. I actually saw one entrance (inaccessible) part way down the Bunton Hush descent. Might have to find out more about the history of the area 🤔

i normally stop for a quick snack break at old gang smeltmill and mine but i`d realy like to spend longer and have a good wander round and as you say find out more about the area. i wish i`d been as interested in history when i was at school rather than having left it till i`ve a lot of history behind me!!

@@paulatack yeah that's a great place to stop. Haha I'm the same, I hated history when I was a kid, but get more interested as I get older. I might see if there are any books about on the area and learn more about it.
