Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of losing my mom and I was actually out hunting when I received the phone call about her passing. Kinda took the wind out of my sails for the rest of that season, but man does it feel good to honor them and remember them when you accomplish things later on down the road.

honestly hunting for me hasn’t been the same since losing my mom….. but then I realized I have to just suck it up as it’s up to me to make those same memories with our own kids. Sure do miss her though. And I’m sorry for your loss. :( time certainty doesn’t seem to make it easier, for me it just makes me so much more aware of what we had and then lost. I lost my dad when I was 18, and as much as I miss him it’s nothing compared to the loss of my mom and I know realize that it’s because she took and held onto the brunt of our sadness constantly…..
