The game actually carries a surprising amount of emotional weight behind it. Mind you, it isn't the most intricate story on the market, but it does its job, and it does its job extremely well. By the way, good job Crytek. Fucking big Muse fan here!

From what I understood in the second game, Prophet was able to survive because the suit acts as a sort of symbiote and Prophet was bound to it because of how long he wore it, so the possibilities I can think of is that Nomad didn't survive because he didn't wear the suit long enough to form the bond or maybe the suit was too heavily damaged for it or Nomad to survive.

This is literally one of the best game trailers I have ever seen, and masterfully done. The only complaint I can think of it's not long enough, I think they could have shot a few more scenes using some of the lines (I'm all red and done, bring me peace and wash away my dirt, for example, could depict a scene with a tripped alarm, and then burning the place down) but other than duration, I can't possibly imagine a more bad ass trailer, amazing job Crytek.

My computer was 600$ with an OS and can run Crysis 3 beta maxed, 60 FPS. With this computer, I can also use it to write papers, listen to music, browse the web, check email, talk on skype, use steam, and do countless more things than you can on console. Also, I don't need to upgrade every year, in fact, I used my previous computer for 6 years before I had to stop using it, and that was because I just wanted a better computer.

In what way other than some of the gameplay mechanics is this the same as Crysis 2? The graphics are much better (even the beta doesn't look as good as the end game is going to, as the beta is missing many graphical components that were announced to be in the full game) and the gameplay has been revamped to be more fluid and dynamic. The overall feel is simply better.

Crysis 3 is a masterpiece, the graphics were stunning, loved how immersive New York felt, with overgrown vegetation, the soundtrack was amazing , super fun gameplay, so many memories with the game 👏👏👏

Actually Nomad talked the entire Crysis 1 through, at regular intervals. Also, his voice can be heard in Warhead, near the end when the last tape is playing.

This actually looks good. I'm tempted to pre-order. I don't care for EA, or the fact that the original Crysis team was canned because the game was pirated a lot because nobody knew if they could run the game or not; and the demo was so littered with bugs. I don't know, we'll see. Can't trust reviews anymore and I'm scared because of the consoles destroying the franchise.

Granted, some of the aliens presented an interesting tactical difference to the original Crysis, but nothing I have ever played compares to the actual gameplay of the very first Crysis. And, frankly, I'm glad someone else feels the same way.

And yes I did pay good money, BUT I have to disagree slightly with the statement you made about the "cheap gaming PC" statement. That's not entirely untrue. My first venture back into PC gaming after a long hiatus was a Phenom II X4 955 and a Radeon HD 5770. Got both on sale, great prices, all that good stuff. My PC at that time, all told, was under $570 and played a lot of games in 1080p, with higher fidelity visuals than either console, and lasted quite a bit. It can be done, just not always.

He's in the game for one thing, just not with a Nanosuit and also... Prophet's consciousness was transferred to the Nanosuit 2, hence the synthetic voice when he spoke in the beginning.

I don't recall pointing out a grammar error. I'm not sure what you're talking about. I know shooting real guns has nothing to do with gaming. I said pulling a trigger is more intuitive to me given the fact that I shoot guns. There is a difference. As for what runs Crysis 3 better, I have no doubt that a PC runs it better. I don't think that was put in doubt by anything I said.

Yeah my PC is pretty much up to par to play Crysis 3. But I spent a little over $700 on it. My xbox was a mere $150. I alternate between PC and console depending on the sort of night it is. When I feel like being a loner, I play PC. When there is a party going on at my house, consoles dominate.

If you saw the way the CryEngine actually works for the developers (hint, there's demos all over KZbin) you'd see that they're developed in parallel but render outputs on each platform individually. There is no real tech reason why the PC graphics wouldn't look better; also if you honestly think the graphics etc have barely improved since Crysis 1, I direct you again to the various CryEngine 3 Tech demos. It's not all 'at first sight' - you'd be amazed how much the engine tech has improved...

I think it's the beginning since Crytek said before that the only squid left are ones left over from the invasion. The explosion probably happened before the events of Crysis 3 but after Crysis 2.

I don't understand how they can't see how the graphics are better. Maybe the simply prefer the first game's styling. Personally, the first game does look amazing. That's a given. Even any sane console fanboy will say that. But artistic differences aside, the realism and graphical appeal in Crysis 3, and even in Crysis 2 is undeniably better than that of the original.

Consoles from 2005/06 can play games from 2013. So old PC can also! Just cannot play with high graphics settings. And console games are made by computers. Xbox and PS3 GPUs are based on old PC GPUs and those GPUs came from somewhere around 2005. PC is versatile, you can plug in xbox controller or logitech and there are other controllers too even though may not be good in quality, PC can connect to TV and much more.

All you need to run it at max is an Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5Ghz and 2 evga GTX 670 FTW (Need 850watt PSU For those) go price that out at your local Comp supply store. ppl with x2 660 Ti FTW might be able to run it to but for the price you may aswell spend the extra $50 per GPU for the 670 Hope this helps.

In Crysis 1 u are Nomad in Special forces and you r part of a squad of Nanosuit operatives(throughout the game they each die)You fight North Koreans for the 1st half.In the Second Half you disover Aliens and simply put they want earth.The U.S navy nukes them only to give them more power.Eventually you destroy the main alien ship and go back for prophet.In Crysis 2 you r Alcatraz a marine whos team was killed.Prophet gives you his suit.You fight the Cell corp& aliens and eventually drive them out

When the full game comes out, your fps will be much higher because the beta didn't support SLI, which is how the 690 works (basically 2 680's on one card).

Every single Crysis game is different. First one was like Arma II. It was kind of steady, and it had pretty large scale of the battlefield. Second was COD. You could complete singleplayer objectives in different ways, but it still was kind of linear. MP was like a real COD gameplay. And the third one is... I'm not even sure. Battlefield I think. MP is still CODish tough, but as it seems, SP of C3 is going to be just like the BF3 MP.

Prophets body did die, yes. His mind is still in Alcatraz and the suit, though. Alcatraz died in the ending of Crysis 2, but Prophet still lives on in the suit. That's why you hear "They call me Prophet" in the ending of Crysis 2.

Crysis is one of the very few FPS on console that has as responsive controls as call of duty. I have played them all and it's so frustrating that such a basic thing is done badly almost every time. If they worked a bit harder on the multiplayer and gave it proper infrastructure (clans, Elo, tournaments) it could become a successful competitive game.
