In my opinion, Steve Mc Queen was one of the old time bad asses with the likes of Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Al Pachino ..etc.

I think he's more of an influence than Brando ever was . 40 years later he's still being talked about ,selling merchandise. He was my hero growing up . I remember seeing the National Enquirer cover in March of 1980 "STEVE MCQUEEN'S HEROIC BATTLE WITH TERMINAL CANCER " He was such a hero to me I thought there's no way he has cancer . I was 17 years old in 1980 ,to young to realize he was a human being. He died in November that same year . I often wonder if he had of lived what kind of career if any would he have .

You mean Robert DeNiro, not Danny Devito.

You know it! I would also include Charles Bronson.

After this Chicago chase sequence was done filming, McQueen felt very tired (fatigued), so he went to get a check-up (complete examination) and was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

@@brianregan75 Uptown has improved a lot since I was there in the early 90s, that is for sure. Still a bit rough in some parts though
