Absolutely loved this hunt and the way it was filmed-really captured the experience! The editing was spot-on, showing the real side of a dog hunt. It’s not always about size; it’s about the chase, the teamwork, and the moment. The way the dogs worked and the shot was shown was perfect. Great job to everyone involved-this one was a pleasure to watch!

I was with a group in Northern Wisconsin once hunting coyotes with dogs. I think they do that to help train the dogs for running bears. It was a lot of fun. Mostly watching the guys handle the dogs and how they utilized the electronics. Any legal animal for someone who has never done that before is a trophy. Good eating too. We did get one coyote in a full day of hunting. Don't knock it until you've tried it!

Don’t know any of the players in this video other then the THP guys. Yes it’s a smaller bear but hunter was happy to tag it so just like the hunter that doesn’t require a booner to shoot I’m good with it. Being from Maine and having been on many dog hunts for bears this was filmed and edited well showing the realities of a dog hunt. Don’t care about bear size as long as it’s not a sow with cubs!!! Wanna see dogs work, wanna hear dogs bark during the chase and showing the shot the way you did was perfect. Great job!!!

Absolutely loved this hunt! And, I was a Federal Game Warden for 33 years. I worked in seven different states, and retired five years ago in Alaska. From 1992 to 1997, I was a Park Ranger in the Smokies out of Cocke County, Tennessee…on the Tennessee/North Carolina border. Three things ruled that part of the country, NASCAR, college football and bear hunting. Dale Sr. use to tromp these same woods hunting bears over dogs. Those of you who don’t know who Sr. Is, well, ya got no NASCAR cred. Sr. was NASCAR! I had a blast working bear hunters. These guys were some of the toughest, most hard working dudes I’ve ever romped with in the woods. Was there a few violations, sure. Some trespass but the dogs never seemed great at reading ‘No Trespassing’ signs. In addition, deer hunters cheated way more frequently than the bear hunters and that’s a fact. And, these guys always treated me well, even though they didn’t love having me in their rear view mirror and listening on my scanners. You haters regarding the size of the bear…shut up. I’ve shot bears in geographic areas where they aren’t always big. Bear meat…and don’t tell that to the whitetails I kill, is my absolute favorite of all wild game. I’ve never bear hunted over dogs. That said, I’ve killed them over bait and stalking. The bottom line is, these dogs and hunters work their asses off doing this type of hunt. Anyway, you bear hunters keep doing your thing. It’s cool as hell!

Cool that Zach and Keith got to go on a hound hunt. That bear was not a cub, but was definitely not older than a yearling. Maybe 50 pounds? The hunt doesn't have to be about killing something. Could have gone another day and tried to get something a bit bigger. Interesting how there weren't any pictures of it on the ground.

Was a fan of both channels, but you lost me on this one. Love the hound hunting, but use it as a tool for selective harvest. Could you have shot a smaller bear? Was it even a boar? Didn't want to show much footage of that one after the kill. I know I'm going to get trolled over this, but the hound hunters I know would have walked away from that bear and kept hunting.

When you live and hunt in a state where black bear are so overpopulated they don't tend to be monsters like in the farmlands of places like PA. A 200+ lb bear is a respectable sized bear there. At least WV has a weight limit. In PA you can take a cub that's still on the teat.

Absolutely disgraceful, this isn’t hunting. The size of the bear aside, dogs have no place chasing animals on the mountain. I’ve heard it referred to as selective hunting, what happens to the bear that gets chased and has the back of its hinds tore up from being bit or nipped? Goes up a tree, pisses all over itself and either gets shot by some obese hillbilly who calls himself a “Hunter”, or they pull the dogs off and the bear has to live with the injuries it sustained. I am not an anti hunter, I consider myself a sportsman and more importantly a conservationist. I hunt elk and deer with my family every year to put meet on the table, we honor and respect each animal we harvest. This was a poor display of sportsmanship and reflects poorly on the rest of us.

Man this went from my favorite channel to something I can barely watch! Josh I dont know what happened between you Kirk and the boys but since you split Kirk and the boys are thriving and you are sinking! I miss seeing you with all of them, you should swallow your pride and mend ties. Second as a long time hounds man we don’t shoot sows and young bears just to make media, your better than that! That bear was absolutely tiny, I don’t care if Donald J Trump was holding the gun, little lone the hunting public boys! Hounds men are ultimate conservation tools, and you know that! We don’t let our hunters shoot sows and young bears! Period! Stop selling your soul for views! Please do better your painting a bad picture for us! Cameron Adams
@TheUntamedHunt5 күн бұрын
Cameron, respect your comment and appreciate you putting your name. I can get on board with any man speaking his opinion. I will say there’a always more to the story than what is seen and heard within groups so I won’t be sucking up any “pride” as you say. And I’ll agree the bear was small but it was a legal bear by himself. I honestly thought the bear was a 120-125 pounder when I looked at it up in the tree. That’s my mistake and I own it. I can assure you that I am not making/ putting out content “for views”. We as a group would not do anything purposely to hurt the hound hunting community. I appreciate your support and watching our channel over the years and hope you continue to do so but if not I understand. - Josh

Thanks for the reply Josh! Yes, I believe a man should put his name on anything that he is going to say, that being said I’m sure one day it’s gonna come back to bite me in the ass, but that’s part of it😂 I respect you owning the bear harvest we all make mistakes. just unfortunately, for you guys it ends up being filmed. Just to clear it up when I said to swallow your pride, I was not implying that what ever happened in your group was your fault. I have wrote the same thing on Kirk’s videos. You are 100% right that there’s two sides to every story and I don’t know the story from either side. That’s one thing I respect about you guys is you didn’t air it all out over the Internet. Just sucks that such a great group of friends had to call it quits hopefully one day ties can be mended and at very least we can get some Collab videos. Neither channel is as good without all of you in it, You guys were such a hoot together kept me laughing! As long as the untamed is around I will be subscribed and watching! God bless and keep running those dogs! Cameron Adams
