Why doesn't the secretary show all the proof she has that the creep was with her long before hooking up with the rich girl. She has photos and letters. He lies without flinching, without a single 'tell.' He lies so naturally that each one could be his skin. He's a handsome sociopath. He knows women are attracted to him and if there is something to be gained - that he needs - he strikes with flirtatious looks and words, then kisses and sex until the trap is sealed - with the wife and secretary it was vows of forever love then getting each of them pregnant...like many of his character role, too lazy or not even caring to change the play. Even if they tell each other he believes in his ability to keep the seal unbroken...i.e. wife's brother said he sent secretary flowers, he said he sent a note to tell her to leave him alone - and it worked. I believe in hustle culture it's called "the catchin' before the hangin'...." 😏
