The Marriot Marquis was also used in the Hunger Games. The atrium where you went "oh wow!" was the tallest such atrium in the world when the hotel opened in 1985 (later beaten by a hotel in Dubai) This hotel is also home of the convention Furry Weekend Atlanta, which i have attended. Weird to see it in normal operation without the convention lol
